I dont know about “the right” collectively. But it seems like a great majority of the individuals who identify as “the right” reject reality that offends the dogma of their childhoods, most of which was was inflicted by preachers.

A Christian education requires faith in the religion, and the religion teaches to choose faith over reason. I cannot think of a more efficient way to quench the impulse to think about things, let alone reason them through.
