You could cut some of those leafs off to help light reach those bud sites. You could also cut some of the leafs in half, too much energy going into leaf maintenance instead of flower production.

UPDATEToday was the 62nd day from germination and I'm looking to harvest the Afghan Kush on or around 4/20
which would be day 48 of flowering. The suggested time is 45-55 days of flowering but I'm going to drop by radio shack so I can check the trichs. Trimmed a few leaves off of the Bagseed. So far it looks to have helped some. It is progressing worse that the Afghan Kush but that was to be expected. This plant smells a little fruity but the smell is less powerful than the kush.
The Afghan Kush smells so nice and it's really stinking up my room. I'm gonna consider that a good thing. The top cola is stretching out now some do you guys think that it will fill up to be one solid full cola?

UPDATEStarting to see the first trichs. Not a significant amount but they are definitely there. The Afghan Kush is slightly frostier. Gonna run to radio shack and pick up a little microscope thingy later today so I can take a look a little closer.
Anyone want to take a guess at yield or how much longer to finish?
Also, should it be taking this long? It feels like this should be progressing faster than it is.

What did your trichs look like. Don't give them any ferts if you think they are atleast two weeks away from harvest if it was more than that I would say go ahead but how close do you think you are?

I looked at em and they we're still all clear. I dunno what that means in terms of time till harvest but I've read 40% amber 60% cloudy is a good harvest point.

ya deff. I was about to say don't chop early patience PAYS in this game bro. Also with the dry and cure part. Let the nugs atleast two weeks before you start smoking mainly out of that stash.

UPDATETrich production has increased on the AK. It's starting to look nice and frosty. Some of the bud sites are starting to swell up and the main cola is swelling some too. The lower buds are about an inch and a half long. The top cola is about 4 - 5 inches long.
The bagseed still looks about the same. It just in general is a little ways behind. Little to no trichs and buds are still small. The main cola is terribly leafy also.
Today is day 69 from germination and day 38 of flowering.
I'd say harvest time looks to be about 3 weeks away (I'm letting them go long for max budding and MAX couchlock. (I love me some couchlock)).

I'd let em go for another month if you want that couchlock cfls tend to take an extra week flower anyways. Couch lock is nice I don't like it to much when I'm drinking and I want to smoke though tends to make me puke lol.

UPDATENothing new to report for the girls. They are still just filling out the buds. I can tell a difference every morning.
But, I'm going to have to be away from them for the next few days (mon. thru fri.). I hope they will be fine but I dont think anything negative will come out of this. Maybe just a little stress from drying up for a day or 2 but hey nothing that wouldn't happen in the natural environment.
The stretching stopped about a week and a half ago and I'm thinking that they will finish up within the next 2-3 weeks. I'll try to get some new pics sometime soon but none for now.

Ya man just make sure you water really good right before you leave. The Aquaglobes are a good idea also if your going on a trip.

UPDATEGot home yesterday... and my fan had shorted out. The bagseed was beyond repair so i chopped her up and tried to make some cannabutter. It's ok but not great... The Afghan Kush is doing ok again. I'm basically gonna call this a shot project. SIGH... well at least the short didn't start a fire.
