[h=5]Fuckin A, work was awesome up until I get sucked into a theological discussion with someone and they push religion on me.

Thing is they were such an enjoyable person up until this, like I'm still the same person you goofed off with to pass time and whatnot, so don't treat me differently just because I don't believe the same thing you do.

Last I checked, we are all entitled to our own opinions and beliefs, never once did I down you or be disrespectful to you because you believe different than I, so why down me and be disrespectful to me.

Rant over.[/h]

I hate that shit.. I have a friend who gets legitimately angry with me for not believing in God. How exactly did they put you down?

She said I was living a worthless lie, going to hell, telling me I was wrong for what I believe yada yada yada.

Not to mention this is 'Merica and I have the right to believe what ever the fuck I want, don't shove your beliefs down my throat and I wont have a problem, but when you tell me my life is worthless and I am lesser of a person because I don't follow or believe what you do, we have a big problem.

Ask yourself if you can feel (and deliver on) "I like you just the same; now let's move forward". Certain believers are under a lot of peer pressure to evangelize. If I am not interested in the message, the best thing I can do is toss it but not the messenger. This keeps a friend and does the best available job of preventing a repeat sales pitch. Fwiw.

Whenever someone condemns me to hell like that, I usually remind them that if the story they support is true then that is not their judgment to make. It usually shuts them up.
Same, and I tried that but they just would not stop. It's like she was making it her goal to convert me whilst being a twat about it her personal mission.

I tried to move on. Yet hours later she was still on this and wouldn't let it go.
Like I said, it seemed like she was on a mission.

It's tough when they think they've crossed a boundary; now it's Weapons Free and they won't switch back. I have a devout friend who also knows and respects my (to him) atheism. I have a much easier time respecting his beliefs since he lives his creed and doesn't try to sell it all the time.

Of course if she IS a Vagina's Witness you may indicate a willingness to worship her God.

I flat out told her that I just do not have the personal proof to blindly put my faith into anything, and I'm not saying there is a "god', but at the same point in time, I'm not saying there isn't either.

Then she said let her life be proof, I told her that is not personal proof for me, yet should the occasion arise that I know that there is a higher power I will accept it, and live my life accordingly. Yet she continued to hound me about it.

This is work. Never discuss anything but work at work. These are not your friends :)

Could use the bible to show her how she is wrong......

Luke 6:37
"Do not judge, and you will not be judged. Do not condemn, and you will not be condemned. Forgive, and you will be forgiven.

Matthew 7:1"Do not judge so that you will not be judged. 2"For in the way you judge, you will be judged; and by your standard of measure, it will be measured to you.…

I hate that shit too had someone do that to me at work,,,,usually means they are covering something up or dealing with something in their own lives,, peace.
