Average vegg time

Ok I no there is no definite answer to this question so just looking for average past experience timeline , what's the time frame to mainline a clone to eight tops after you top the thrid node first . Thanx

Hunh....How about you try it and find out? Why is asking us important to reaching that goal?

No really, I don't understand why asking us is important. If that's what you want to do - DO IT!

Not trying to be a dick here.

From when? Seed? From the first topping? From clone to? Was the cutting rooted or from when you cut that?

I'm just curious sense I run Ina timeline , and if you read my post I answered every question you laid out so yea you sound like a dick , have you mainlined before if so what was your averge vegg time from clone from the time you topped the thrid node to get to 8 tops pretty str8 forward question , but instead you want a book report on my reasoning ,

I generally go about 1-1.5 weeks between cuts.

This is down the the skills of the grower, the strain/plant and light

when you take a cutting to clone, if you can keep the clone green and heathy and don't lose any leaves.

you can root a clone with 3 sets of nodes, remove the larger leaves and you don't need to top the plant or remove the first set of leaves ( should takes 7-14 days)

so you are half way there, with a good environment you will be topping and lst 7 days later,

give the plant 3-4 days to recover and pot up to the final pot size and veg for 3 days and flower

no reason why you can't do this all in less than 4 weeks from taken the cutting with the right skills and setup

DR who sounds like a idiot, someone who thinks that this is HIS hobby and everyone else is stupid XD i got grow diaries of all my crops only tried mainlining a couple times so probably wasn't the best results but ill look through and let you know

Prob about 4-6weeks but main lining can only be done on a plant from seed with opposing nodes a clone doesn't have the structure for it the nodes are alternating

Yeah but I'm your idiot,,,love you too sweety.......It's like this......Some days you get tired of the SOS.....
I was impatient and pissed at another "newbie" with a chip on his PC shoulder......

Pardon me for being rude! I was.

I go 1.5 to 2 weeks between toppings - strain dependent.. 10 days is average.

Alternating nodes can work...it just takes longer as your trying to force uneven nodes to go dominate by them getting more Auxins...they tend to do that unevenly and less effectively for the lower.....
And Jack, your clone would be perfect for it.

Grumpy old fuck - Doc

You can use that most mother plants are going to be mostly alternating nodes that's why i said that. Like thisView attachment 3494921

you have the classic looking sativa strain with the staggered nodes (heathy but very streched)
and I am growing a indica hybrid strain with level nodes

does not make any diffence if there seedling or clones

your the first grower that has told me you can't top clones

Not say you can't top mainlining involves making a hub or manifold though if the nodes are alternating that is impossible. Your clone is not mature that's why nodes are like that they will begin to alternate as well. 90% of clones are going to be alternating nodes cause mom plants are usally more then a couple weeks old. Just try to help op so he doesn't plan out a grow then buy clones and be like fuck this won't work. I have grown nothing but clone for the past year and a half and none have had opposed nodes
p.s. it can also be done with clones....esp. ones taken very early off the mom when they are still in a symetrical growing pattern..... from the man who made the mainlining thread.
And is called og kush

....it really is that simple....i am sure it has been done before, and a lot of folks do it, and probably even has a name, but I just call it "main-lining".....my theory being, on a plant from seed, if all branches came off of the same node on the trunk, they should all get the same amount of hormones and nutrients ...or energy, from the root mass.....like building a "hub"........make sense?

More copy and paste

I don't keep mothers I simply take a cut or two from each plant before it goes into flower unless I find a nice pheno , but the cuttings I took were from a plant that was grown from seed so the nodes are still pretty much in alignment, when they start getting way out of wack I'll pop another seed and start over if the yeild vs time is worth then what I'm doing now with is topping once and lst .. Thanx again everyone for your responses
