Autos on 12/12

Hi there.. i have a question as i might have to drop my lights from 18/6 to 12/12.

My plants are auto flowers and everything is running fine EXCEPT summers kicking in and the room is about to get way too hot with the lights on during daylight hours.. so obviously with 12/12 i can run only at night.

My question is, ive heard the yield is affected on an auto at 12/12, but how significant is the loss??

Id like some opinions if possible..cheers!

Hey Lamsnap!

Yes autos are meant to flower over the summer, before photo-period plants. Ideally, they need 16 to 24 hours of light each day.
Flowering them in 12/12 will definitely affect your yields. You may lose 20% or maybe even 50% but it's hard to tell, it depends on how your plants will react to it.

Let me know how that goes ;)

ttly depends on the stage of the plant when light period is changed.
you didnt mention how old your auto's are from seed.

How much is yield affected you ask? about a pound I'd say
