Autopots

Damn. Im lucky as heck with my tap water. I use Royal Gold Tupar coco(has perlite and bio char(believe this maintains ph)) and only use GH Micro, Bloom and CalMag nutes. 2.5ml CM/6 ml M/ 9ml B per gal. No airstones or pumps in rez. When i add my CalMag/Micro/Bloom to my tap(no sitring out overnight) its exactly 6.0 XD no ph required.
Jammy sod :bigjoint:
i have been whittling my time away messing about with nutrient solution, citric acid and my ph and tds meter, cannas grow guide was also useful, in short anything over 880ppm and i cannot ph down unless i add more of my shitty tap water beforehand which ironically increases my ph but brings down my tds enough for me to correct properly without getting gritty nozzles.
do you wanna see the bang i got in the autopots she's at week 7 of 10 ?

i can't wait to try her,in autopots she has fattened up much better than in soil.
got about 20 ish days left to go so onto just plain water soon enough, they're having a dose of overdrive this week, advanced nutrients generally speaking, i'm not sure of, but this one works for the depth of aroma and flavour, be sure not to use it too early, use for a week at the end of flower and for 2 or 3 days into your flush.

I run 4 autopots on 2 reservoirs. I am lazy. :D Next round i will run 1 bubble bucket and 3 autopots to see if i want to switch it out a bit. These were grown with autopots. 4 of them in a 4 x 4 tent. The centre pic was a king tut that i grew before i knew about defoliating. the 1st autopot run was the first full run start to finish (12 oz of bud and 3 oz of butter larf). I was using a 550 watt mcob and switched to a 315 CMH and next round will run that with 200 watts of vero (2VL)
the biggest issues I have had were with the root disks. I bought new ones. And media. I have found coco with perlite or growstones works the best for me. With 1 or 2 inchs of hydro clay in the bottom.

If the roots get into the system it causes a swampy odor.

And you can use zero organics. I screwed it up using some bud ripener but it made everything funky. Now i stick to GH trio and thats it.

Have a good one
How do you flush with autopots? Do you just feed the rez straight ph water? Or do you hand water for flushing?

Im currently in day 40 of flower running autopots formthe first time. About to start flushing but now sure what way i should do it

You never hand water autopots. I just run pure water that is ph 5.9 to 6.1 to top up the res the last 2 weeks. It works ok for me. As I need to top it up around day 50 or so i put 5 gallons in at a time as needed until finished. Sometimes I will run it longer and then dump the res and put in PH water so they can finish what is in the pot for nutes.

Thanks for the reply. Do you get a good (not black) burn off your product when flushing that way?

I wonder because its bottom fed, and if i dont flush it by hand , i wonder if it doesnt clean the media of nutes .

7 to 10 days usually. I think mine are there now but i will keep it top watered another couple of days.
Idk, the manual itself says 18-21 days and the AFN community follows 18-21 days or when fans are reaching out of the pot. Is what it is. Someone said he turns it on at 5 days but no way roots get that far that fast. I go 18-21 days and top feed every 4-5 days before that.

I went about a week or 10 days. They are botrom feed now. Once they start really growing i give a final top feed and out them in the pot holders with rez on.

As long as it works. Theybshould be thriving in a day or 2.

Buti grow.photos and they veg way faster.

I wonder if it would benefit if you also tied blumats into a manifold on the same reservior? You can run the blumats for the first 15-20 days, then close that valve and kick open the valve to the autovalves and turn on air pumps to the airdomes. Maybe once a week open the blumat valve to give the top of the medium a drink?
This would require no hand watering at all, just close one valve and open the other one.

Nah. No air stones or domes for my Auto pots thank you. They work just fine as they are.
