ive always found less is more..and if they look hungry you just pump it up 100 or so and its all gravy usually..

500-600 every time nice and slow makes them eat up everything

Home brewer is right...I'd say 600 ppm is the mark to shoot for. And I've not had a problem with ph shift till I added a batch of bad cal mag...I think people get to wrapped up in feeding and adding more and more stuff to the res. to see if they can yield a little more. Focus on the root system and it's health and you will yield good everytime. Anyhow just my two cents

On the .7 scale, 500-600ppm is all that's necessary for veg. You can add more if you want, up to 700ppm and you may get slightly quicker growth in well established plants, but you're going to accomplish the same thing at 500-600ppm. 1000ppm is a good place for flowering and it's hard to break away from the 'feed more' mantra, but you'll do a lot more harm than good with higher feeding levels. Give these numbers a run and tweak for future grows.

My AK47 is not a heavy feeder, 1.3 EC or about 950ppm on the 442 scale. Try the h2o2 and find out exactly how much he's feeding.

He and I both grow AK47 from the same and it is very heavy feeder compared to the few others we've grown. I'll find out later today how much he's feeding them.

Homebrewer, I just spoke with my friend with the ph issues using DynaGro. He says he is using 5 ml of bloom, 3 ml of promag, and 4 ml of protech for every gallon of water. I have no idea how that compares to their recommend feeding chart...

Assuming he has no bugs in his res causing issues, I would suggest he runs this:

If he's using RO water:

6 mls bloom
5 mls protekt
2 mls magpro

If he's using tap water:

6mls bloom
5mls Protekt
1mls magpro

Currently he's using too much magpro and not enough protekt or Bloom. Magpro is made for people who are using RO water. Keep me updated.

Hey OP, I realize this is a bit off topic but here's another method to regulate your pH. I dunno if it'll work for a three-week vacation (that's a long time; I'd get the doser myself) but this guy buffers his nutrient solution. It's certainly cheap enough to warrant an experiment if you're worried about the cost.

i think this is what you are talking about this thing is automated adds ph up/ph down when needed and will adjust ppm as well. you have to buy the solenoid kit separately though. i dont have any experience with this module but i can say i would give it a shot and prably will when i upscale this thing is fully pc compatible and you can check readings via your computer from anywhere. fuckin awesome right lol hope someone can answer your ACTUAL question cause im curious as well.

well this is the info i have found

the complete system will work just fine and from my understanding the system learns. for example lets say u set your rez ph for 5.6 and when it notices it doses the system and it doses 2 much next time it will know to do less!! and it has a time delay function so once it doses it will wait 3 min or so before redosing if necessary so that it gives the dose time to circulate. pretty cool but a lil pricey

from what i read i can say yes sounds like the same controller you just have to do some wiring to solenoids which can be quite easy im going to read some more on the hanna controller thanks for the link i want one too lol.
