Automated PH controller

Has anybody heard of something that would regulate PH of water in a hydro unit?

Like if it reaches a threshold of x they it would add y amout of ph/up down

i know an algorithm would be involved but seems simple enough mechanically to do.

the algorithm would be fairly simple, but the mechanical part would be somewhat complex-
you would need a ph measuring device that would constantly or periodically measure the ph
the device would have to send the value to a computer/microcontroller which would run the program containing the algorithm which would determine if it were acidic or not and if it were acidic, how acidic it is and then corresponding output in # of drops to a machine that would drop the # of drops that the computer told it to
