If it were me I would section each run of plants off maybe to 50 site irrigations connected to their own reservoir.

250 all on one would be risky if something happened to the main reservoir.

In 3 gallon pots each plant will require a min of once a day feeding of approx 1Gallon to obtain some runoff.

so you would need a pump capable of delivering 1Gallon to each site within a few minutes.

Added to that 250 sites in one reservoir at a daily 1Gallon each plant means you would need 250G of water/nutrient solution each day.

so you’d want to be looking at possibly a 1000 or more gallon tank as a reservoir.

have you really thought this through?
yes I have or tried I was thinking of two pumps brake it in to 100 plants at once 2 feedings a day 10%run off will I need a 1/2 horse power pump and if I go smaller pots like 2 gallon I'll feed it 5 times a day maybe what are you're thoughts

OK a 1000 gallons wow I was thinking 2 150 gallon tanks and splitting them but a 1000 is much better now finding one is the problem lol I'm going to look for one

I think I'm a lil small scale to be giving advice on a 250 plant op.

Hopefully you have previous experience with coco.

best of luck. I look forward to seeing a full garden.

What nutes did you go with?

How many successful grows do you have under your belt to ask this?

Fabric pots and capillary mats.
Not a bad idea.

Another possibility would be switching from your idea of using coco and running a recirculating NFT setup for each tray or even ebb and flow would work better than trying to get a system balanced enough to deliver drips/floods evenly to a whole lot of plants.

Are those trays 8x4?

Considered setting a drip system for each of the trays?

house a reservoir underneath each that are all interconnected so you only ever have to fill one res and it fills all the others?

then have runoff collection going to its exit?

You may get some good ideas watching some PA HYDROPONICS on YouTube.

If this was me, I would setup each tray individually with its own res and pumps etc maybe like I mentioned with the interconnected reservoirs?
