Autoflowering Question

I am growing 4 X 'Taiga' from Dutch Passion and 3 X Autoflowering Indica from Weed World. Both are feminised branded.

I have grown before. Very successfully, I wanted to try the new Autoflowering strains.

Dutch Passion have consistently provided me with good seeds. I cant see them getting it wrong.

This is my set up:

Large BudBox

400w Sodium Grolux

RVK100A1 Extraction/Filtration Kit - 175m3/hour

Growing in Bio Bizz All-Mix soil

My issue is - they havent started flowering. Its day 40! They are healthy in every way - except none of them have flowered or look even close.

Please anyone with any advice?

Is this normal?

Others i see are flowering by day 30?

Help!

Any advice, anyone?

hey, had ten taigas, harvested a month ago.... the seeds are not autos, dutch passion has no idea what they're talking about, you have to send them into 12/12, they will finish is like 6 weeks, watch for hermi's, i had two and ruined my already not impressive exp with taiga. i got 2 1/5 oz from TEN in 2 gal. better luck next time, stay away from dp auto strands

oh, and i had to put them in 48 of dark to start the 12/12, really sucks if you have other autos goin and no other grow space, i got fucked cuz ive been growing autos exclusively, and the taigas grew to almost 4 ft... way too big for my space

Thanks for the reply. I emailed Dutch Passion and told them what had happened. They told me to put them into 48 hours of dark then keep to 12/12. They said they had a problem with a particular batch of Tiaga, they offered to replace the whole 10 seeds with a new batch, guaranteed to flower.

The 48 hours dark made them flower, now just waiting.

Yeah dude thats total BS. Go with lowryder, only auto seeds I trust.

My lowryder#2/Ak-47 started at around day 15 under 18/6 and 25 days later it now
has a nice cola and lots of popcorn buds.

Lowryder has the most stable auto plants in the biz in my mind.

I checked out Lowryders but thought the science has come a long way, there were a lot of autoflowering strains around. I wasnt sure where to go. When Dutch Passion started doing an Autoflowering range I didnt hesitate to buy from them.

They have been very gracious and replaced the 10 seeds that didnt start flowering. The new batch where guaranteed. Problem is I am starting the new batch on the 12/12 cycle cause I only have one growroom - the others are too far ahead to play around with the lights now.

The original 10 seeds where switched to 12/12 on day 46 from germination. They had been on 20/4 cycle previously.
Today is day 56! They are flowering as a normal plant would flower 10 days into flowering.

Please keep us updated. I just started some Taigas and some of the Sensi Outdoor Mix. Two weeks in and the seedlings all have taken off like rocketships. I am wondering about the Taigas. Ducth Passion does have a good rep. I can see that when you are breeding, you are bound to run into some bad batches here and there. Hopefully they would have worked that out before they started selling them, but I guess they were just too eager to jump on the auto bandwagon. I'm sure hoping the Taigas that I got were from a one of the new batches of seeds. I would like to get some seeds with the auto characteristics, but I'm not sure if there is any way to successfully breed certain characteristics without years of trial and error. If anyone has any tips, they would be much appreciated.

Gutted. I found 2 hermies today. I check them every day and I couldn't see any problems yesterday.

Today, I checked and they are definitely hermies. I have never seen one before. I have had plenty of male plants and lots of lovely ladies but never seen a hermie - till today.

Well you live and learn I suppose.

My first foray into the world of autoflowering has been a total disaster. I am now down to 5.

The 5 replacement seeds they sent me from the first lot are under a 12/12 light as I had nowhere else to put them. They are very small and stretchy. If they had a 18/6 I think they may have done better.

I have seen a 12/12 club on here for people who put seedlings under a 12/12 light for their whole life, but has anyone done this with an autoflowering strain? Anyone have any idea of what to expect?

Well I put my 5 new autoflowering feminised Taiga's under the 12/12 light. I have nowhere else to put them.

So far, i have 1 male!

Very pissed off that feminised seeds had a male in there.

They are very stretchy, leggy plants. Gonna keep away from Autoflowering in future.

most true autos show sex in 17 to 21 days and start flower around that time I just did a seed run on my second grow with diesel ryders im growing out two of the beans now at two weeks old one looks good other looks weird like its going to be a midget or something leaves are huge no internode space at all as if leaves just stacked on top of each other hard to describe Im going to grow it out in curiosity next time go with low life or lowryder luck to you bro

Yeah that deal about the stacked leaves... perfectly normal man.

I know it looks weird now but she will start stretching like mad, and if anything else just raise the light higher and she will stretch like any other plant.

Mine is in its last week or two and she is amazing, very fruity smell and packing some trichs. In 10 days it will be 2 months old.

Check my current journal out, you can see it grow step by step and get a picture on how these auto's work.

OK a few pics of the girls in bloom.

Pic. 1 is one of the original Taiga's from Dutch Passion. 40 days under 18/6. Then 48 hours dark. Then 12/12 ever since. Day 40 flowering today. They are big girls now.

Pic 2. Same plant.

Pic 3. One of the new batch Dutch Passion sent me - unfortunately, been under 12/12 since seed as only 1 grow room. Day 40 from seed. Would love to know if they would have auto flowered under 18/6. Very skinny ladies.

Pic 4. Same plant.

Pic 5. Is one of 5 bag seed plants I have. 28 days from seed. 12/12. Am expecting pre flowers very soon.

Pic 6. Same plant.
