Those autoflowering plants are actually really good plants, and give great yield, if you manage them right. They do only grow to about half a meter, though, so they fit in spaces other plants won't.
Clone them? Yes, done it. You have to do it before it the fourth week, and it has to be kept quite cool, about 10 degrees C. It worked for one clone, then the clone of that clone. After that, the third attempt resulted in a stall.
People recommend 18/6 for them, but I get maximum height from 16/8 until they flower, then at four weeks I use 18/6. Any more and they finish too fast, and too small.
I've only used a variety of Masterlow that wasn't original, but it was great herb.
