Autoflower Thread & Resource Guide

Hey guys I have just ordered my first autoflower strain & I picked nirvanas Short Rider. I know all about the past issues with this strain & have seen some reviews on their "NEW" batch that is supposedly perfected now. Just wondering if anyone on here has ordered any of this recent batch that they have and have any advice on growing them outdoors. They just seemed like a good deal so I went with it. Did I make a mistake? I read the first 75 pages of this thread but it would take a year to read all 750 pages!

Thanks for any advice on this
Keep it smoking!

Personally I would build it, I prefer to save my coin and build everything I possibly can and have saved hundreds of dollars doing so.
All depends on your shop abilities.

Pretty cool system. I've never heard of it before but that means nothing. There is new stuff coming on the market all the time. If you do try it, let us know how it works out.

Hey all , i havn't posted for a bit but have been following along. But i want to drop this note.. I had ( 1 ) nice plant out of seven seeds from short stuff assassin's in my pics on my profile but the rest all sucked!!!!! Dwarf's , males , non sprouts !!!! Never had a problem with any of my seeds till then !so that set me back !!! Reason for no post or pics ..but back and going good with some greenhouse and big buddha "s .and a new order of good beans . So just thought i would put this info up for you all.

Can someone tell me if it actually benefits the autoflower plant to continue with a higher light cycle such as 20/4 through flowering? I brought my light cycle down to 16/8 at flowering--pretty much going off of gut instinct though.

Also, I was planning on using very small doses of tiger bloom and big bloom during all waterings, with a very small dose of grow big one time, beginning of week 3 to give a nitrogen boost. Continue only big bloom into week 4 and end with water-only / flush into week 5. Harvest.

Strain is Sweet Afghani Delicious S1 autoflower/feminized from world wide seeds. My first grow. In my sig.

I would advise against feeding every watering. Especially with chemical nutrients. You're going to have zero microbes in your soil that way. I'll take a look at your grow. Also, nutrients are needed in different ratios. If you keep adding so every watering then I'd think you would eventually build up on something. You can try it though, i'd just keep an eye on it.

Thanks for the advice, +rep. I'm only watering 1x / week right now. Might up it to 2x / week next week. I'll definitely consider the every other watering technique.

Yeah the nute buildup is more crititcal when you're feeding with full strength. I had a 60 Day wonder that i grew in a party cup. She need to be watered and fed every day, so u just have to work with what you got.

My thoughts exactly. Last time she got water was last Saturday. Planning to water again Saturday. I'm going to give 25% recommended doses of tiger bloom and big bloom and see how she reacts. Might stick to nutes only 1x / week.

I don't know how much you've looked into microorganisms but above a certain concentration of phosphorus (that or potassium, can't remember) they start to die off. These micros can help feed your plan in themselves and protect against unwanted microbes. A good soil environment can go a long way. If you space out your feedings, though, i think you can still have a half-way decent microherd even with chemical nutrients.
