Autoflower red Dwarf and Hindu Kush - Greenhorn Grow

Hi all -

I bought some Autoflower Feminized seeds from Attitude
Lowriders Auto Hindu Kush and Buddha Red Dwarf.

I germinated them in Jiffy 7 pucks with tap water.

After breaking the surface, I had the seedlings on a single T5 fluoro 20/4.

5/6 germinated within 3 days. The hold out was a Hindu kush seed. I took a look, and it seemed to have cracked but that's where the magic ended.

On day 6, I transferred the jiffy pucks as follows:
HK-2 and RD-2 went into Hempy 16oz styrofoam cups.
HK-2, RD-1, and RD-3 went into FoxFarm soild in 16oz cups.

For the transfer I used tap water that had been oxygenated with an air stone for ~6hrs, and I used the following nutes/gallon.
cloning solution 250ul super thrive vit 250ul GH floraNectar
500ul
Hempy is the following: 75% perlite/25% vermiculite. And yes, I just bogged the jiffy puck down into it.

It's been 24+ hrs since the change to 16oz cups, and they all seem ok.

I have been setting up the grow tent, and testing it out for their move into it.

I think I'm a step above ghetto...but barely.
I bought a grow tent off fleabay. 20x36x64 --> this would fit in the spare bedroom closet. I've never done this before, but I think cheap grow tents = cheap.

I have the following:
4" in-line duct fan for intake.
6" in-line duct fan for exhaust
150 watt HPS
1 small fan.
2 humidity/temp gauges.
1 manual 24hr timer for the light.

I also ordered the following for controlling humidity:eva-dry dehumidifier
zoo med hygrotherm
I plan to use the Lucas formula for nutes on both the hempy and soil grows. I am going to use FloraNova Bloom.

Another thing....I'd like to stick a couple of these guys on the porch. We'll see.

I welcome any comments. And if you have grown these strains, please feel free to show me your pictures and any knowledge you have about them

I put the seedlings in the tent last night with the 150watt HPS lamp.

The lamp is ~10 inches above the plants.

The temps get a little warm in there, but I figure it's because I have the vent and exhaust all going into a closed closet.

To hopefully rectify this issue, I am going to connect a hose to the exhaust, and run it to the attic.

The humidity is actually low in the tent...~30%. This may be due to the fact that it has been relatively cool where I live.

Hi all-
I'm on Day 12 of the Autoflower grow.
I have 2 issues:

1. The HK and RD that are in hempy are small compared to their FoxFarm soil mates.
2. Heat in the tent is an issue. I just looked and it's 95F.

I vented the tent with a 6" inline fan into the attic. There is ~30 inches of flexible hose from the exhaust to the attic. There is airflow, but it obviously is not enough. I also have a 4" inline fan coming into the tent at the bottom, and a small 4" personal fan on the plants. There is a 6" fan in the top of the tent pointed down. The closet/room this set-up is located does not have A/C.

The other issue is the retarded growth of the plants in the hempy buckets. Besides medium, all these plants are treated the same.

Here are some pictures. You might notice that the plants hempy aren't as big as their FoxFarm soil mates.

What's up with the yellowish spots on one of the leaves?

Other than that...everyone is healthy...the plants in hempy buckets are still pokey in the growth department though.

I LST'd some of the plants due to space and other plants in the tent that are way smaller.

My Hindu Kush sprouted of last night, I will visiting your grow - I am curious about the taste of this variety, i got Dwarf to but White one

Hi Bartecki - I can't attest to the Hindu Kush taste...yet Give me about 7-8 more weeks.

The plants that were hempy were stunted. The Hindu Kush in hempy took off after being replanted into the bigger bucket, and I upped the nutes.

Alas, the red Dwarf in hempy seems to be a short pheno. Which is OK...it is very cute.

One thing I have noticed about red Dwarfs and nutes...the 24hrs after nutes the Red Dwarfs (hempy or foxfarm soil) both have slower growth rates than the Hindu Kush's.

The Red Dwarf's aren't burned or anything...they just don't grow as fast afters nutrients.

So, I bought feminized Automatic Hindu Kush from Lowlife...here's what they say about it..."She may only grow to 14” at the very most..."

Righto....mine are a wee bit bigger. Oh well...could be the AK47 pheno dominating? they are healthy enough for being under 150watt HPS.

but I love them all just the same

Well, it is frackin hot here. I had to put the plants in the tent on a 16/8 light schedule to cope with the scorching temps.
The plant on the porch is beautiful, and has very nice flowers.
