I've done alot of research to simply be told its all up to the grower to use what hey choose for a medium. I jus simply would like to know what has worked for other people, as a starting point for me. This is my very first grow, and i started with autos as I was told they are very easy and resilient to operator error and what not. I'm looking for something I wont have to put a lot of nutrients in, as I want a more natural grow, without all the chemicals and having to flush. Is there any soil based mediums out there that kffer my type of request or am i screwed? If I could get a flat answer as to a soil, and any other info that could benefit me, it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks and happy growing!

Amazon Bloom I use for my house plants. It's a very good soil but, I use ferts. I do hempy bucket using perlite only and the Lucas formula. It's a cheap and easy way to grow.

I recently started a compost bucket to try what you want do. I'm hoping it's a water only solution but, I haven't done it before so. I'm a noob. Lots of great dudes and info in the organics section. I've never really tried an organic bag soil but, they sell them. G'luck.

thanks for the input, bought a bag of ffof today. Will update once the seeds arrive. Also, I bought the trio pack of nutrients that FF offers. The salesman told me that the soil was good for 3 weeks without nutrients, is that a safe bet? And what sort of natural remedies is there for mites? I read inline a habenero pepper stay mix diluted with water knocks em dead, is that true? Worst case, I have some mighty wash, but as I stated before, I do not want to use chemicals n what not. Trying to be all natural.

Wait 4 to 5 weeks to feed in my opinion but I'm only on my second grow so I'm still dialing things in

can u post a link? I'm new to the forum and haven't quite figured everything out. Hahaha, and does anyone have any input as to cfl's and autos? I want to make the switch to something more, like a hps, or mh, but I have a very small grow area, 3X3x5. Its a closet grow. So I'm afraid if I get a higher output light, it'll essentially cook my babies.
