Hey RIU, whats up?

This is my first grow so thought keep a journal. This is a PC Grow and pretty stealthy. I can only do a stealth grow due to my other half comes round un announced.

The Setup

3x fem Easy Ryder Auto's (1 left in storage)
1x LA Women (in storage)
1x 125w 2700k CFL
2x 12w 6400k CFL (Air ION Cleaner bulbs)
1x 120mm Intake
1x 80mm Exhaust
Bio Bizz Organic Soil
Bio Bloom Nutes

Story so far

Plant 1 is called Alice and is Day12 from sprout and Plant 2 is called Alexandra and is Day6 from sprout. Alice may be a little growth stunted from bit of over heat, begginners mistake. Temps are ranging 68F at night - 82F max in day. Humidity is 35-45%

The 125w CFL was only just put in today so this is the first day with that in before then was just the 2x 12w CFL's. Keepiing a keen eye on temps as feels pretty warm.

So that's it!! Any comments, suggestions, advice all much appreciated. BUT do not moan and say a PC grow is a waste of time etc this is just a little stash for me and I do not have very much room at all.

Stay Bless & Stay Stoned!

Sounds like me... A problem child. Ha
it set up in the top of the pc case, as you can see it pretty snug. I'm still deciding if to get a grow tent to be honest. On eBay get a decent one for like £45 and free delivery. Very tempting. Big enough for 2 big plants or 4 small ones. What you think

Yeah post a link here man when all up and running with more pics :) unfortunately the 125w was getting too hot in that small pc case I'm experimenting at the money and have transferred to my wardrobe. Hopefully I'm going to borrow a friends spare room and put a grow tent in it :)

Update

So to confirm this grow has come out of the pc and now into the wardrobe. Gone from full stealth to only semi... I am going to have to do a bit of DIY I think. Main reason for the original stealth was the smell so I may make a encased section that looks like part of the wardrobe and add a inline extractor fan and carbon filter. Any suggestions on my idea?

Yea man, so what was you gonna do about the smell if you were growing in your pc case? I'm planning to make my own DIY carbon filter attached to an extracor fan... theres some good details on the DIY part of this site for making a small one using a cotton filter for a car, tights and activated carbon from a pet store... thats what i plan to use anyway!

Will be enough for 2 plants for sure....

Peace man!

It's going to cost a bit. There are several cheap routes on this one, what I did is I did a DIY carbon filter, didn't cost much. I bought 2x 120mm fans and 1x 80mm fan. Basically i put them in a strategic order where it would be pulling air around 5 times faster then it would with one extraction fan. What i did is I put 2 120mm pulling air and then I put a 80mm on the bottom of the ducting so all the air that blew out was sent to the top of the bedroom. What this did is that it filtered itself right through a open window in the top of the room moving so fast that It could without spending the mass amounts of money on a inline fan. Just one of my ideas, go ahead and give it a go if you would like. Isn't going to cost much.

Yeah. Well i have my 2 ion air cleaning cfl that would easily done that space as was very small. Should in theory do my whole wardrobe aswell so wait and see. Going to try 'find' some mdf or even chipboard. Got money issues at the mo so gonna be a tough one :(

I understand that one. I'm waiting for my $100.00 check so I can get a prepaid debit card and purchase all my seeds, nutes, and soil online.

Cheers man not bad idea. I was doing some banging and being as smart as I am realised top my wardrobe a very thin bit of what ever (mdf I think) and leads straight to my lost were no one goes. If I make a hole in theoryblowing the air up as heat rises will just go up into lost and out top of house. Was just another idea

yea man 'finding' the materials is the way forward...

Hardboard! Hardboard sheets from B&Q cost 2.50, i just bought one to finally seal the rest of my grow box, hardboard and gaffa tape go a long way in the budget growbox building!

If your going through your loft that would be pretty sweet... trouble is its bates when someone needs to go up there... if they need to go up there for whatever reason....

also man i got a link for ya worth checking out... was thinking of doing it myself but i like the way my setup has turned out...

I'll take a look now, just eating some crisps. No one goes up there except me. I'm only one who will go up the ladder and who can fit through the hatch so may be a little option. What size was the hardboard sheet for £2.50?

The link wernt bad. I'm quite a creative person so I know if I had the materials I could whip something up ok. I got a good idea at the moment so going to give that a crack. My idea would give me a small little section for hang drying. Going to look at getting some bulk amount of pc fans.

the hardboard sheet was 2 x 4 foot, flimsy as fuck, but it does for what i need it to, ive used three now...

cant wait to smoke my own... ive given up til i get my own stash grown... i know sacrilidge... but i got so much uni work to do, i kinda gotta focus... plus i'm fed up with the people i get it off... they're ALL wankers... gonna be immensely satisfying!
