Auto Save.. Feature for Responses

... has anyone else noticed this new feature that i've been seeing pop up from time to time when i am typing out a response??

i was just wondering how it works is all as it never fails usually right when i'm about to finish up an epic post telling people how to save the world or build a better mouse trap, i seem to end up deleting the entire message before i get to save it and post it..
so this new auto save feature seems pretty sweet, but i just wasn't sure how it worked.. say i do what i normally do and erase my post, is there a way to go back and find what i just typed out now with the auto save feature?? or doesn't it work that way??

oh well, any help or info on it would be great... also digging some of the other new features as well... site's looking nice.

lol, thanks time.. i think it's an awesome feature, just wish i knew how to use it, lol, but thanks for the 411, i'll see if i can figure it out now.

Once you type some stuff in the text box, after a few seconds it will be saved as a draft for you. Very similar to what word-processors do automatically. Then the Auto-Save lights up, and the undo, and redo buttons become available. Once a draft is saved, if you try to leave the page without sending your message, you will be asked if you are sure you want to leave without posting.

Like we used to say when we're programming: "It's not a bug, it's a feature!"

well, that's just awesome.. don't know how many times one of my brilliant ramblings ends up getting deleted before i manage to post it for all the world to see... excellent..

i really love it because i have a habit of refreshing the page before i post (to make sure my post is still relevant) and like an idiot i usually lose what i wrote and am too stoned to retype it.

if you refresh the page, the text will be gone, but there will be a button at the bottom of the text box that says "restore saved content", and it works perfectly.

i think it's a hell of a good feature.
