I have only grown photo, but a lot of folks have been talking about Mephisto auto genetics hitting 28% thc potency. All autos I have smoked have sucked. Can anyone confirm if Mephisto is bs hype or not?

Pro growers here indoors with money no limit - hard time breaking 22% with 25% being wild. Take these claims with a spoon of salt.

Dunno bout mephisto but auto is auto. Means partially ruderalis.
Back in the days of Overgrow everybody and his sister stated ruderalis are watering down quality and you end up smoking ditchweed.
Thats why everybody and me refused to grow auto for a loooong time.
Later I heard many claims close to those you heard.

I like to have my first hand experience. So over the last couple of years I did grow different autos.
The high is kinda different I would say. To mild for my taste compared to photos.

This year I grew my best auto ever.
Had only this one plant. Auto jack hair from bulkseeds.
It was as resinious as a photo.
Looked realy damn nice great thc production 10 weeks from seed to harvest 1 foot only and about 15g dry.
It was great taste and high was good but again not as strong as photo and different and the high is lasting not very long.
But it was way better to smoke that organically grown auto than smoking the fungizide soaked blackmarket weed they sell over here.

If you plant it late April indoor and bring it outdoors at around15th May you can harvest early to mid July.
This gives you a extra harvest outdoor for example if you do photos too.
They are easy to hide and you can harvest before any weed ripping tourists start seeking growspots in fall.
If thats a problem.

They have ups and downs.
I dont say the high is bad. No.
Its different shorter time of high and intensity isnt there.
Cant compare that to a fire photo.
If one ever smoked a elite photo bud you will not impress him with any auto I guess.

But you keep in mind how short a lifespan a auto has. For this short life its pretty good what you get.

Just my two cents

Edit
Just to mention....I never had a auto going infected by either powdery budrot or insects. They are hardy lil Basterds.

Peace

Better off doing a SOG using clones. With my limited experience with Autos they just don't have much structure. Im sure there's the odd exception. Either way a SOG using clones will yield better, faster and cheaper, without the Rudi.

If your chasing THC over high then there are photo strains around 30% THC.
