Auto Nutrient Deficiency

Hey guys,

I started a grow journal on a different website but it seemed pretty inactive so I'm jumping ship but I couldn't figure out how to start a journal here?

Just making a quick post because I've read how fast plants can go down hill with nutrient problems and it got me worried.

First grow and two out of my three plants are showing some sort of deficiency i think, no idea what though I've attached two pictures of my White Widow Auto her issue is progressing the fastest, the first picture was taken before work and the second was after

When i was watering her the other day i was a bit vigorous with the spray bottle and she fell over, over the last few days ive been propping her up with my hyrgo meter and she is standing on her own now but i don't know if this is a result of that.

The next picture is of my Cheese Auto, she has been growing the longest, in the picture there are two problems one small patch on the leaf in the middle and the discoloration of the leaf at the right, if anyone could point me in the right direction that would be really appreciated.

P.S. Please ignore the white splodges on the leaves that is from the feed in the spray bottle

In general, you don't want to spray the nutrients (i.e., plant food) on the leaves of the plant, only spray that on the soil. If you want to spray the leaves of the plants, use the purest water you can get. Its possible there are some sprays out there that are meant to be applied to leaves, but in general pure water is best.

As for your question about the deficiency, I'll let someone with more knowledge answer.

I would say that if she is falling , plant her as deep as you can. This will help her build roots from the burried plant material and reduce the amount of weight that she has to carry.Roots is the way to go,healthy big root mass = vigorous growth. And what are you growing in ?

I'll do that right now, just fill the pot with soil to the top then? The cheese I posted is in some crappy b&q soil but white widow and amnesia are in Canna Coco Po Plus

AH well..i'm not that experienced myself.I got a grow under my belt and i've read a lot.Soil is the way to go if you're new to this (like myself).Much easier..I got 50g off a freebie which actually smoked very very well.A defficiency at this stage wouldn't happen in soil..I'm growing acouple of autos right now,and i got a small defficiency at day 45..which is common cause they grow fast under 20/4 light ( still not 100% cause they would have remained green if they were fed correctly,i got this journal available if you want to check it ). Pick a high quality soil as a start.Biobizz works like a charm, light mix for seeds-seedlings,all mix for 21+days old plants(which they grow well and have a robust growth, and endure higher EC - or more nutes -).I have not tested anything else so that's the only way i can address to this matter..It's safer to start things and you're ok to carefully repot them to soil right now..

Was that 50g from an auto? I'd be over the moon with 50g per plant lol, my lighting is a 250w cfl 2700k but I've had the light on 24/0 could that be the problem?

I was was going to get bio buzz as well and the grow guy talked me into canna, I'll be hitting the grow shop on Saturday I'll pick up some bio buzz.

Ill check your your grow journal now ;)

Man don't get convinced..there is much hype regarding this industry.I'm not saying they don't work but can you handle them well?? I got a 3 part feeding solution from a seller that was swearing by it..Stupid me ? Well,i've also read that all you need is an N-P-K ratio of 3 -1 - 2. like 10-3-6 or anything similar. N= 3 times more than P , P=1 , K = 2 times more than P.According to what i've read . Also the harvest was from a freebie sleestack*skunk #1,which it was photoperiodic. My first auto gave me 4.21g.Which was STILL frosty and decent smoke but almost nothing. You should check the difference at those 2 autos i'm doing now.Different phenotypes but very very healthy and triple in size.Well you can go 24/0 but plants do hit a light saturation point when less is better....

Well that's probaby true, some might get a light green color from too intense light and you're wasting electricity.I'd suggest you should read Uncle Ben's threads..I've read all of them. And i do mean ALL of them.Start to finish.Ah well i didnt count day 1 till finish..probably a lot more than i should have..It had some rough time tho. This kitty in my avatar dug it up probably when it was less than an inch tall. Also it was on 12/12 cause i had only 1 growing area at that moment.I think those will shine:).In my opinion, test anything you've read and witness it yourself..That's the way to go :)

Now that you mention it my amnesia is a little light green, I didn't think it was a big issue so I didn't post about it, I'll get a timer tomorrow.

I'll search for him now ;), you not get any pics for your journal? Love seeing the girls lol

aww man that is indeed rough times :( 4g from less than an inch isn't bad lol
