auto-flowering :VS: vegetation

now this is what confused um i recently read a form about growing techniques now what is auto-flowering ?? do you need a auto seed or can you /could this be done with any seed
whats better letting it grow freely or keeping it small i am not sure, this topic is really confusing . but wht is better auto flwer or just give normal light 24./18-6/12-12/ any one care to shed some light

Yes you can only have an auto if it is an auto seed (trying to clone an auto won't work out very well because it will be as far into its 8-9 week life cycle as its mother, so if you take a cutting off a 4 week auto, that clone will only have 4 weeks to grow because it dosen't care about your light schedule (only how old it is)) auto flowers are marijuana plants that will automatically begin to flower when they are ready even if you have the light on 24 hours a day. All non auto strains of marijuana will only flower when given a certain amount of darkness everyday. Most autos do not get over 2 feet tall, and many stop at 1.5 feet
