Auto Assassin CFL Grow - UK

First time doing autos and hoping they come out good !

Got a big 250w blue and 125 red going 18/6 and they seem to be doing well.
Have been meaning to start a thread for a while so will have a few pic.

Any comments or advice appreciated.

Ok some early photos. Had real trouble germinating some of the seeds so the are at different stages.

First up Assassin 1 - started about 26 April

Think this is about 3 weeks

Today 4 and half weeks


as you can see they are growing fast
Will try to keep updated every 2 days now and will try to sort out my pictures as been using iphone

My girls are looking good at 5-6 weeks for one and 3-4 weeks for the other, not that anyone seems interested

just checked my 2 plants and one is a male ! got balls all over it so i've taken it to the end of the garden. Could it be a hermi, worth keeping?
Can anyone confirm for me before i kill him ? Really pissed as they were meant to be fem seeds ! wont be using pick and mix again

Damn that male is bustin nuts everywhere, get it outta there! Otherwise, the plants look good and healthy What kind of light are you using?

cheers man, I thought as much, I thought it was flowering the other day but 2 days later this is what i came across. It's down the other end of the garden well out of the way. Really pissed as it was meant to be female. Bought 4 seeds from Pick and mix and 2 didn't even germ, now one is male, never using them again. It's not like you can complain is it !!
I'm usung CFL's, 250w blue and 125 red going 18/6. Blue going off soon and being replaced with 3 85w red CFL's & the 125. Think the other one is about 5-6 weeks so probably another 4 or 5.

You relocated the male plant? Unless you are wanting seeds, that male needs to be killed and moved far away from your female. The pollen from a male plant can travel far to reach a female, you would be surprised. If you moved the plant far away, its pollen could still be moved on your body/clothing to the female plant. Hes not worth keeping unless you are after seeds. The grow is lookin good though man, keep it up, ill be watchin

thanks mate. Yeah the male is in the garden and the female is in the shed in my grow box. Just hope it didn't give her one before she left Just doesn't feel right killing a very healthy plant but will chop him tomorrow.
Got a auto snowrider and a auto big bag about a week in so will post some pics once they start looking good.

Yeah man killing a perfectly healthy plant is part of the game, I kill my males as soon as I identify them. Ive got 6 that will be showing sex within the next few days. This is where the real fun begins for me, watching the bud sites develope and grow Ill be trying my hand at some LST/SCROG for the first time on my current grow so it should be interesting

Cool, I bought fem seeds so a bit pissed with the seed bank. Plus 2 others didn't crack. Can exactly complain as they wont talk to me about germination and like. Sent them a message saying the souvenirs were cracked on arrival so hoping they send me some more. Just had some Fastbud seeds arrive from Attitude so they are germing as we speak

I had the same problem with pik n mix seeds, i bought an Onyx Auto and that turned out to be male too, and i definatly bought a fem seed, wont be using them again,

ch0mpy - cheers man ! I'm emailing them as so far i've had 2 assassins not germ, 2 cali haze not germ and a male from a fem pack so really annoyed. Doubt it will do any good but worth a try.
I'm sure I read somewhere else that there were problems with the Onyx. Maybe they are over breading them.
Would like to hear from some other auto growers as I would like to find a really good strain that has good yeald and nice hazey affects, had enough of all the cheese about these days.

My baby is getting bigger and have now added another 85w bulb so have that and a 125w red in the bottom half of my grow box and the 240w blue up top. Waiting for ebay to deliver my 2 way splitter so I can add another 85w. Should warm it up !


The snowrider and Big Bud are doing really well, still small but these autos seem to grow so fast. Ok some pics, sorry iphone camera again so not great. Pics were taken yesterday and she has grown since. Will try to get some better ones tomorrow with proper camera.



i think its about 6/7 weeks so another 3 or 4 should do her or more ?

Love the CFL grow! I just picked up a 300W 2700K for my grow. I had ordered 6/6500K CFL's from eBay and dude sent 6/2700K..so now going to go the the HD and see if I can get my 6500K's there. I never grew Assassin's before they look great, can't wait for the finish. Looking forward for your pics and reports.

cheers mate. These autos seem to grow really good under my 240/6500. 300w should be well good. I need to do a few improvements on my grow box as i'm going to run out of space if im not careful. Plus need to arrange my flower bit better as i've rigged it up a bit shit but they dont see to mind. Suppose its a learning process and the next box will be designed a bit better.
When the splitter comes i hope to see some improvements, will have 2 85w and 1 125w. Do have another 85 but I dont think there is room in there for now. Knocked over one of my just germinated fastbuds yesterday. Was just starting to come out of the soil. Hope she's ok.

she's looking good bro interested in seeing how this goes i never seen a CFL grow first hand everyone seems to use mainly hps around here.....how old are they bro

think the big one is about 7 weeks but forgot to make a note of the date, god knows how long left, 2-3 weeks, maybe more ?
Would do hps but living in the city there are too many choppers ahead ! and my shed is warm enough with the CFL's but I do have 1x240, 1x125, 2x85 going ! Looking forward to tasting this shit as its really starting to smell good. The other 2 are getting bigger too and should be just right to move to the flowering chamber when the assassin is done. Once these are finished i'm chopping up my grow box as its designed all wrong and building a new one, learning as I go

some more pics. Seems like the buds are getting bigger and smelling nice. Anyone know how much longer ? need to think about flushing. I'm thinking 2 weeks then flush for 2 but anyone know the full time for the Assassin. i'm around 7ish weeks, i think !!
