I shall be taking Flowa's advice and picking up a Samsung W150F Digital Camera within the next week, these crappy pics dont really do it any justice, they are doing very well, thanks for the kind words supa, yours are coming along real nice ! looking forward to seeing the end result.

my camera is fairly shit. but im starting to get the hang of it now and starting to get a few nice pics.

im heading over to europe for a few weeks next yr though gonna hit up greece spain france italy and holland so i have managed to convince the mrs we need a shit hot cam for the trip. looks like an upgrade is on the way. now i just need to figure out a wy to light the plants so i can get decent shots. hps lighting is the main thing holding me back. although i am considering going all cmh next grow. certainly pretty happy with the results so far as long as i get a decent yield i will be making the switch. the environment in the cmh tent just seems so much better. this will sound stupid but it feels more relaxed in there. the room is cooler, the plant looks happier and i just get a good vibe in there. the hps rooms have sort of an aggressive feel like im forcing the plants to grow. under the cmh it feels like the sun maiden wants to grow. i know that sounds like some hippy bs but its just a feeling i get when im in there. i think its just cause the everything looks more normal under cmh its not all orange

Agree about the lights...I don't like the vibe from the hps lights either. Can you veg and flower with mh?

And why not grab a dslr? Not that hard to use once you get your head around everything.

yeah its cmh not mh so it has the full colour spectrum. mh is mostly blue and hps is mostly red. cmh is an all round bulb. i wont be sure until i complete a grow but at the moment its looking real good.

and yeah dslr is what im looking at i want to be able to hav full control over my focus point leaving it up to autofocus is pointless when your taking photos of something with as much depth as a big bud. there is too many leaves coming straight towards you etc for the camera to properly figure out where to focus

24 degrees should be perfect for most strains

Where does one get these CMHs from? Don't seem to be at my local grow shop...online?

You are right about the manual focus part. I set my camera to aperture exposure or something...so I can change the aperture and the shutter speed changes accordingly. It's a whole other hobby.

Go on to the sylvania australia website ome and they will point you where to get them . What you want is a sylvania superball with the E40 socket . 400w one is the one you want . They only go upto 400w.

Just check the spectrum on those before u commit to buying it though. Not all cmh bulbs have a complete spectrum.

I use the phillips mastercolor.

Not saying the sylvania is bad, it may even be better just check just in case.

Oh and Phillips make an 830w which is equivelant to a 1000w aswell

Prolamps sell really low kelvin mh bulbs, I just got a bunch of 4000Ks to try out.
The colours look really good but we shall see what the plants think! Let me know before you hit holland FIWH, I'll introduce you to a few dudes.
