G'day all,

For anyone that knows the north coast the situation is this - Lismore, Mullum, Coraki, Broadwater, Woodburn, Ballina, Wardell, Tumbulgum, Ocean Shores, South Golden, Uki, Casino the list goes on. All either totally or partly devastated. Many, many houses and livelihoods lost, not to mention crops. The first days of the flood were nightmarish but help has finally arrived now with govt services etc. It was the community and nobody else that rescued people from houses and roofs in the middle of the night and saved so many lives. When I see the politicians thanking the ADF it makes me sick. Nobody blames the ADF but they were simply not here on the ground due to the speed and size of the disaster so when they stand up there falling over themselves thanking them thats what makes people angry. The community themselves stood up like I have never seen before.

Main arm, Mullum, areas of Nimbin etc are still cut off due to the sheer number of land slides and it takes time to clear the roads and get structural engineers to check bridges etc. The army choppers have been dropping food and medicine to the people. The flood was way over the 1 in a hundred year level and the BOM told residents the river would rise to 12m but it went over 14m so even people who thought they were out of the flood zone were impacted. Everyone prepared for it but it was beyond what anyone has ever seen.

There is a lot of trauma and it is hard to comprehend the stench and scale of the disaster without seeing it first hand. It is easy to say dont live in a flood plain but for many people there is no choice. The main issue I see moving forward is going to be housing. I really have no idea where all these people are going to live. Staying with strangers is not a long term solution so what the solution to that will be I have no idea. Everyone is tired and this is only the beginning of the recovery.

I'm curious if your toddlers ask what that plant is in the middle of your yard.

Rents have been going up all over the country the last couple years and this will push them up even further, couple that with an over stretched building industry that is already a year or two booked out add in inflation its not looking good for the affected areas.
Guess house prices which just started to come off the boil will explode again. Mate put in an offer on a place last week and it went for more than 25% over asking.

Hello to my fellow aussies!!

I've got a seed question for you all, I've gone through bonzaseeds when it was around, Barney, ilgm, msnl all with 100% success...this year i went with attitudeseeds for the top notch genetics i was keen as hell for, and low and behold it has been stuck at Melbourne ( inbound awaiting clearance) for like over 3 weeks!!! Have i been shafted?! 5 weeks in total so far and feeling like I've finally lost one :( typically i heard lots of good things about attitude even from my local shops...but this one seems to have failed to deliver and yes they will reship but I'm waiting in hope so they don't send twice unless I'm definitely sure they are gone , is this 5 week time frame normal at the moment?! Sorry if this was not suppose to be posted here , but with all you guys experience surely someone can give me some helpful info and thanks

Attituded is legit and easy to deal with, as your importing to an illegal country id imagine you paid the little bit extra for guaranteed delivery so you'll be sweet. Customs has been way behind and have also gotten harder to go through.
Not unusual to get the orig and the resend so give it some time.

The last few years have gotten harder to get seeds in there is no denying. All those Euro seed banks are basically the same. You just gotta take your chances. Spread your orders around, send them to different addresses and see what you get. In the past they mostly made it but it seems like these days they sometimes do. Probably where all the Medicinal licence holders are getting their genetics from the hick fucks and chads.
