mate, i've got 2 diff leds from diff companies one high end one low end. both with metal heatsinks never been zapped.

I personally would be worried.

My low end boards has the two heatsinks on the heatsink as well no zap

I concur, getting zapped from something 240v electrical is not high up on my to do list anytime soon. Earth problem? Not a sparky but I'd be reticent to go near the thing turned on or plugged in. Call me old fashioned lol.
Make a complaint to them bursto and get them to give you another one. They may even love you enough to let you keep that one to hang around for spare parts.

so its like the thick skin on your hand you wont feel much current but the thin skin near me wrist touched the hanging wire a few times and i was wearing thongs and had walked in the rain so my feet were wet, no boots

and i got enough volts to piss me off a bit

Its not 240v. He'd seriously know about it if it was.

“the poor man pays twice”

with leds this is exceptionally true. Buy quality the first time or you’ll probably end up buying again. If you want cheap go down the diy route with either some Samsung or bridgelux strips and a driver from arrow or digikey.

if you want easier/less work you can go boards from someone like hlg or grow lights Australia. Gla is based in Perth if supporting locals is your thing and make a pretty decent board(I’ve got a few). They do diy kits and plug and play models
cutter electronics is another good site to go to for all your lighting needs.

to dutchy up in the grow room, or not to dutchy, that is the question

if you blaze up a few times each day in your grow room, would the smoke be beneficial to the plants?

been wondering, if they could get a little xtra co2 that way, or am i just, justifying blazing up more weed :weed:

Dude, I'll save you some time. Those pre-built, brand name fixtures are overpriced trash. What size, in sq. feet are you growing?
4x4 my dude.. openly browsing at the moment but it'd be madly appreciated. Kinda just want to get something so i can throw overpriced one in my "mates" face. It's literally a hazard more than it is a product hahaha

Anyone got any experience with herms?
Have all fems yet one of the fems has produced a couple of weird seeds within only a couple of the lower flowers... Did it start to herm then go "wait oh god no i dont want to go out like caitlyn jenner", and revert back to a fem...? No other fems are affected and there's like 10 total in there so im kinda shitting it but also kinda blessed i think considering it's start of 8 weeks with no spread?
