My mouth watered! What a triumvirate of flavors.
Yea when ya hit a school of dolphin, they strike hard don’t they?
Once bottom fishing for grouper, a 20kg sailfish appeared at the gunwale and teased us with a surface slapping show of his sail. The mate reached with a gaff but he was just a bit far. I’m glad he got away. It was a spectacular sight to see a game fish playing not fighting.
That was off Miami on a simple head boat
Sure do, if we spot a log or anything floating we’ll give it a close run past to pick some Mahi up for the ice box.
We don’t get many sails where I am, only one or so each season., if you’re lucky.
There’s a good black, blue and stripe marlin fishery here though.
Did a day out in Mexico for sails a few years ago, that was a heap of fun on light tackle.

Who asked about a cheap green house? Sorry but I couldn’t find the post to ID you properly.
There’s no need to buy a kit that consists of conduit and sheet plastic. A system of long, flexible sections of tubing that connect to ground supports via T fittings can be created using aluminum conduit or pvc. PVC is prone to UV damage quickly. Use the heaviest duty plastic available. Ask your professional building materials supplier what’s best in uv. Avoid home centers.
Build the ground suooorts with T fittings first, then the bowed sections of tubing that comprise the roof. Here they come in 10’ sections. Use X fittings at apex of house to run cross supports between struts.
Then sheet plastic. Use sections of tubing taped to the bottom edge of the plastic as rollers. Roll it up (get it?) and secure 1/2 meter above the ground for air movement when it’s hot.
We have four 20x40 hoop houses made this way cobbling together anything that is a long tube that was free or cheap.

Just Youtube it. No one could follow those verbal instructions Good luck
hoop houses can be made pretty cheap from 25-50mm uv rated poly irrigation line And star pickets. Buy the poly by the roll from an agriculture supplier when you get pickets and it’ll already hold a curve making it easier to get the hoop. Drive 2 star pickets into the ground about 3-5m apart (depending on how large you want to make hoop) and slap a length of poly over the pickets to stand the hoop up. After you’ve got a few ribs you can just throw some greenhouse plastic from Bunnings over it. Bonus is hoop houses are hella easy to extend later on if you want a bigger greenhouse.

If you hit rebar into the ground on angle to create dome shape, you can slide the poly over the rebar. Give yourself 1m over lap, it just gives the star pickets that extra strength 16mm is best

Went out from Isla Mujeres. A small island just off the coast of Cancun.
Great day. 8 sails, and a heap of the local snapper in the afternoon on the way back in.
Yucatán is loaded with great fishing. And kite surfing. And hot European women visitors wearing only thongs.
And astonishingly, one of the best pizzas I ever ate (I’m a native NYCer) was is downtown Cancun. Not the tourist area.
But they fish for boquinete, which is like a red snapper who has whiskers like a catfish. Ugly as sin but deeeeeelicious. Some restaurants will serve it as red snapper to appeal to gringos. I don’t mind. I know they’re lying

The snapper, as they called it, is very much like our mangrove jack. Good tasting fish. Edit: great tasting.

Hahaha, Australians have a very different meaning for the word “thong”. Have a look at this for a laugh.
