if you guys are really worried about coms download Kleopatra GPA and you can do your own PGP encryption end to end. it what we use on the dark web for coms with sensitive information. its really quite simple.

if you search youtube for something like "how to PGP?" you will find a vid that will walk you through the whole process

i wouldnt put anything you dont trust into facebook messenger. my mate is now on a watch list because he sent all his nudes from his phone to someone else on messenger. some of the pics he had held onto since school and were nude selfies from underaged girls at the time. facebook intercepted them in messenger and reported him to the authorities for child porn.

at least thats his version of events

Cant fix stupid.

I’m not talking about the messenger app itself but the secret conversation function within the app. It’s secured peer to peer so the only 2 people that can see it are the sender and recipient. Facebook copped flack over it because the federal governments new legislation trying to force fb (and other companies like Wickr and apple) to create back doors in their encryption. Facebook and apple have effectively told them to fuck off with that idea.
