my out door patch is in straight soil witha bit of slow release ferts and water crystals and a little bit of my mix from the original containers the plants were started in.in outdoor plants its all about stealth and not spending time out there if you dont need to be there so cover crops ect are not ideal if your doing it on public land.you will also need a car to take water there ubless you have a water source. My patch is so far awY from watwr or public areas it really is a mission to be prepared forwith an out door is it possable to say have a living mulch slash cover crop and trans plant straigh into the ground im assuming the only down side of a 17 foot plant is it would be a pain in tja ass to trim amd harvest but bigger tje plant the bigger the yield true or untru
