I had a look. Maybe I'm missing something other than the old stock they obviously want to get rid of coming into N. Hemisphere winter?

What deals are you looking at specifically?

found a small jar of seeds with a bit of rice i lost 8 years ago, above a door frame stuffed in the insulation

i had made some seeds that i though i'd lost and some are old freebies, chucked two of the ones i made in water and one freebie

not holding my breath, but they did have the rice in there

a blast from the past :weed: if they make it

Hey all,
Asking within this thread as others I've read are US centric.
I'm wanting to move to an organic/super soil type grow after the current.
Seeking some guidance from other Aussies on a baseline soil mix to do so.

Any assistance would be ace.

Indoors/Outdoors? In the ground or in pots? What strains? Some need more food than others & some hate to be over-fed (particularly Sativa's).

There have been many suggestions over the years & some would say "Super Soil" is a myth. Here's a good one from awhile back:

Stay away from slow-release fertilisers, as they can continue to supply too much N deep into flowering. You can always add something later, but once it's in the mix, you can't take it out. Better to adjust depending on what the plant is telling you it needs.

Looks like something you can buy in large handfuls from the local asian grocery.

Get it into some grow medium ASAP & it MIGHT survive if you're gentle with it, but it's probably expended most of its energy reserves getting to this stage. Good luck with it.
Oh shit ok well I didn’t realise it was a bad thing, Lols…. Don’t have much experience popping beans only my fourth to date

Your inexperience shows in the neglect you've shown the sprouting seed to date. It should've been planted quite awhile ago, by the looks.

Don't worry. Like I said, if you're VERY gentle with it, you still might be able to save it. Chalk this one up to experience & move-on if it doesn't work.

Use a very thin stick (like a satay stick or skewer) to create a deep-enough hole in your medium. Wiggle it about a bit to give you some extra room to get the tap root in easily, but not a gaping hole. I'm assuming you're a girl, so you probably have eyebrow tweezers available, yes? Use them to gently ease the tap root into the hole you just created (pardon the obvious:p).

Water it in gently to close the medium in around the tap root, then pray to the cannabis gods.

I find sacrificing a virgin at this point & burning incence to be beneficial, but virgins are hard to find these days:o

Indoors and pots.
Typical indica dominant strains, running banana fast this grow and it's looking promising so likely going to clone the better performing plant for future use.

Plant them straight into medium in solo cup aint rocket science.
With fresh seed-stock, yes, I agree with you.

I'm dealing with old stock that's proving itself rather recalcitrant to come to the party & want to get something happening for this season.

I'm seriously considering just popping everything I have from O/S seedbanks that are over a year old & just dealing with the fallout.

This somewhat rash plan has a certain air of "Dash & derring-do", but I've never been one to shy away from a challenge.

And FUCK the neighbour!
