Yep, most of what I do goes into coconut oil, as it saves having to go through the preliminary step of clarifying butter to ghee before it goes into the machine.

What temperature setting have you used? I just go with 71C for 2 hours (or 4 hours if doing an alcohol-based tincture).
Same setting as you. Maybe it's the butter I am using. I melt it down on low heat, add a teaspoon of lecithin and dump the decarbed leaves in the machine and let it churn. Am I doing something wrong?

I like mixing lots of strains together for edibles. Usually end up with a more even effect and takes the edges off any raciness. Works well for sleep but you need to take couple hours before bed imo
That's my next lot I'll do a mix ...done wonder woman very very nice caps
Done 3bk very nice but the dry mouth kills you in your asleep and a bit to racy for me
Gorrilla breath, incredible bulk and Alaskan purple going in the next lot

Are you using salted or unsalted butter? I only ever use unsalted, as it can be used in sweet or savoury baking/cooking.

I just roughly break-up the decarbed weed into the machine first, then add the liquid (with lecithin dissolved in it). I generally give it a couple of clean/mix cycles to make sure everything is evenly mixed, scrape-down the sides of the jug with a spatula & then start the infusion cycle.

How long did you decarb in the oven an at what temperature.
I also used the slow cooker method.
Will be doing another batch soon but wanna aim for a one cap knock out instead of havin to take 2 or 3
Thats tricky cos you need enough oil to cover the buds so there is a limit to how concentrated they can be.

Yea did notice that using the slow cooker.
An if chopd the bud down to much would affect the decarbin process? From memerory i decarbd at 110 for around 30-40 minutes

Regardless of me using only bud I'm still struggling to get that one cap boom it's still in general 2 caps
220 Fahrenheit max
30-45.mins (I do 45)
2 hours minimum in slow cooker
I tend to do 2.5

Klx is right here and that's why it's hard to get the one cap knockout
The oil needs to cover the decarbed product slightly
...so the stronger the bud the more chance of needing only one cap if your a daily smoker

Unless you strain the solids from a first infusion & then re-infuse with a second batch of fresh buds......:fire:
Sure you could do that but its a lot easier and better use of the buds to just take 2 caps

You could rough chop then decarb then grind it fine. That's about as compact as you can get the buds. For 1 cap knockoits you need to extract first then use that in your caps
