There's lots of ways to make beer, but quality takes a bit of time & effort. Like growing weed, the more you put in, the more you get out.

Doing a Kit & kilo will produce crap results - forget it from the start. I'ts the cheap & AWFUL way..

The best way (& cheapest) is from grains, but you'll need gear to do it (expensive to set-up).

PM me for details, as this is a weed forum, not beer, right?
Its an everything forum. Im sure there must be a home brewing thread or area in RIU somewhere..
I probebebly have access to good quality grain and hops cheap as I know someone involved with Morrison Brewery, there is a local Malt here as well, I might be able to get some free/cheap malt from.
Whats a rough number to set up for say 500L a month? Might be something to look at setting up in stages as alcohol is getting ridiculously expensive.

Yeah dunno about that. From 13oz one person got 4 for perso only the other took HP and reckons 6 are perso for herself+1. So it’d be a big coincidence that the remaining three made it into Bris* i’d have to think. I know everyone I pass it to, and their habits. But stranger things have happened for sure: )
*edit
Weird either way as Haze doesn't come around very often.
Heres a pic of it.

500L/mth is quite a bit! You're looking at small-scale commercial gear for that amount.

To give you an idea of what you're looking at, check this out: https://www.grainandgrape.com.au/products/category/search/7BRAUM 200 LITRE--200-litre-braumeister

That's top-end gear for a small physical footprint, but it's quality German engineering & you're paying for it. You'd only need to brew twice a month, but it would need 3-phase power.

You'd also need large fermenters & all the packaging gear (ie. kegs) to go along with it (trust me, you'll soon get jack of bottling that amount on a monthly basis!). Depending on what you want, it can be cheap, or get pretty exy.

If you want to try something a bit smaller & cheaper, this sort of thing would be your best bet: https://www.kegland.com.au/brewzilla-65l-gen-3.html You'd be able to knock-out about 50L at a time & requires a 15A circuit to handle the elements. They also have a 35L version that can be run from a standard 10A circuit, but you'd be brewing much more frequently.

Both of those units can be programmed to go through the steps required, so your actual physical "hands-on" presence during the brew-day is reduced over traditional (multi-vessel) systems.

There's ways of making much stronger wort with both of those units (ie. double-mashing), which can then be diluted for fermentation at regular strength, so you brew less frequently. It would make for a longer day, but overall, you'd be saving time.

'Hope that helps. Shoot me a PM if you've got any questions.

awesome , that's what I was after I recon, ill check the links out. Ive got a 15A outlet in the shed, going to 3-phrase is probably not an option.
Id go Kegs as bottling is a pain and time consuming

@reza92 put me onto a heat sensitive automatic fire extinguisher. I put it up a few days ago. I don't remember the price but they are not that expensive. Available Ebay

a bit more than I was thinking but then.... The second unit was about $650, so two of those isn't to bad depending on how much the other equipment is.

so a complete good setup could be done for 2k? like everything?

Melbournian devotees of alternative/independent radio would now be mourning the passing of Stephen Walker (aka. "The Ghost") from RRR.

"Nemesis of mediocre radio everywhere".

I don't smoke a lot of weed, but I'm just about to roll-up a fucking MONSTER spliff & listen to this:

Crank it right up & go with it!
