Mexican was some of the best weed on earth just most was badly dried and “bricked” up when wet still. My old man spent almost the entire 70’s travelling through Africa,India,Nepal,Pakistan,Kashmir,Afghanistan and the Americas and rated some Mex as as good as anything but when they started spraying Paraquat they lost a lot of the really killer lines they had unfortunately.
haha ur dad and mine would probably get on well. he spent time in india in the 80s and lived just out of Nimbin in the 70s. Spent time in vietname (war and after) and Cambodia, and Europe, lived in India for around 6 months I think.
More of a travelling/ trafficker/smoker than a breeder but they both sound like they would have a few tales.

I love these seeds.
Just everyday smoke. Maximum 20% thc.
It isn't fire. But it's honestly part of its charm.
It's a heavy hitting, fast acting, mellow high.
I love the smell of it fresh. Smells like the skunkiest, creamiest, freshest ground espresso. With a hint of berry. Almost smells like cookies and cream.
Has a bit of a citrusy, almost passion fruit smell dry.
The taste really reminds me of passiona.

There was that strain I mentioned that apparently was from seeds collected by uni kids and locals along the banks of the Hunter river where plants grew wild after being introduced by Chinese miners in the early 1900’s
This was the version I heard. And yep it used to be called bindi and was not uncommon north of Sydney up until the 70s or 80s but has largely disappeared because people would rather smoke something decent. Its a curiousity and all but like ducksfoot why bother? Some DF can run really really long too, like 20+ weeks. Fuck that.

Not to mention ducksfoot isn't exactly very stealth when it has big fuckin buds on it. Just because the leaves are little funny shaped isn't exactly fooling anybody , especially if you're close enough to see the leaves you're damn close enough to tell it's a weed plant

Yep that’s right, why on earth guys think they can “work” it into something special is beyond me,it’s been tried a few times and always the same result utter shit. Ducks foot is another one shit taste terrible potency and like you said long flowering period :( And to call anything an Aussie strain is a big stretch some of the old Sativa yeah you can get away with that but it’s pushing it,just cause an Australian bred it doesn’t make it Australian otherwise 3/4 of all pot strains would be Australian. Arguably 2 of the most if influential breeders of the last 30 years were Aussies so we have plenty to be proud of we don’t need to claim junk like the Bindi and Ducksfoot
