Looking nice BB!

DWC has it's down sides. If those air bubbles stop your plants will be dead if left without the oxygen. You end up throwing out a lot of nutes and water every week or two when you flush (unless you're lazy). Of course the reason why those are both risks is because that's where you're getting the reward; lots of fresh oxygen, nutes and water.

My goal is bucket DWCs with a tree in each one, 10L of bright white roots!

Cheers mate, haven't seen any pics of the ranger in a while? She must be flowerin now?
The Rangess BB. She certainly is flowering. I was so happy when i realised that it was a female. I havent bothered with pics as its such a silly plant compared to what we see on here. I will post one soon though.

it would seem most are going the way of the dwc, i REALLY wanna try it

how much would a basic dealio set me back?? say for 4 plants
Hi Kmoo...

I love aeroponics... My big tent is a DWC, always has been... I get great results from it... Eightenough also uses a similar set up... Its heaps easy to look after that's why so many do it..

My aerocloner cost me:
$35.00 for the Sterlite Container with lid from Magnet Mart
$50.00 for the 1050Litre water pump from Bunnings
$20.00 for PVC pipe, caps, elbows and t-junctions.
$3.00 misting spray heads (Bunnings)
$5.00 for all purpose silicone
$4.00 hack saw
$3.00 for the kneeling pad that I used instead of neoprene... Same stuff...
$16.00 for this cheap hole saw set (Bunnings)

An Ez-Cloner at the smallest size will cost you $339.00US... Mine could easily hold heaps more clones and that unit can set you back $450.00... Just ridiculous...

Laceygirl...

You must use the Sterlite Container... Its the one with the suffocation warning on the inside of the lid. It has to be airtight or it will leak. Its 65litres and its perfect for stinkbuds design... Its the only thing close to the Rubbermaid Ruffneck container he is using...His design is the easiest and most effective...

Hey all a very quick question. Can i use nutes designed for hydroponics even though i am hand watering? Like dutchmaster? or Canna? I dont really want to spend more than $40 or so for some flowering nutes.

Yes hydroponic nutes will work in your soil, however it is not advisable as it will result in salt buildups long term. A more immediate risk is over fertilizing as hydroponic nutes are instantly available to your plant and uou can easily over fert especially if there are slow release ferts in the mix. The last issue that comes to mind might be ph, as hydro nutes have a ph buffer to help keep ph down in the 5.5-6.5 range, whilst plants in soil prefer a higher ph.

But meh I've done it and it was fine, just use cautiously and sparingly. In the end though it's probably cheaper for you to buy a good flowering guano based fert. Hydro nutes are am expense you should be happy not to deal with :)

Lol hardly kmoo! I always blab on about DWC, but truth to tell I'd prefer to be able to grow in soil. I don't have the space or time to "learn" soil, and it's too much thinking to set up a good ebb n flow or recirc system. DWC is freakin simple, and gives you very happy plants. Don't do it outside though, unless you've got a super airtight system and easy fill/empty points!

I just started blooming. 1 plant that's been vegging for about 2 months and another which is still a seedling, both are now in the flowering though. Also have 2 cuttings of which I'm hoping at least one will root.

Hoping my bigger plant turns out to be female, its nerve wrecking.
