ye im def gunna trans plant im also considering topp ing it to encorage it 2 be more bushy
I'd LST if you're going to do anything mate. If you top that you might not have enough leaf surface area for it to make it through the ordeal. You want a plant to be thriving before you chop its head off. At any rate you can always top later if you must so long as you can control when it flowers. Or just let it go as @OzCocoLoco says

Well, nothing like gathering the supplies for a good game of "hide the poo"[/QUOTE]
One of the guys round here grew one of the nicest plants I've ever seen in the absorption trench of his septic system

Doesnt surprise me. I rented a house with a leak in the septic tank out the back and it ran a little river from the leak down the backyard and under the neighbours bedroom window. It was like a stinky nature-corridor until it got fixed. plants love poo

When a plants pushing hard you can top and it still takes a week or so for it to get its momentum up

Yep. you see a lot of posts around riu saying that a healthy plant won't even notice it. I've grown some bloody healthy plants in my time and they all miss a beat or 2 when you lop a few nodes off

Topping a seedling with less than 6 nodes is almost the worse thing you could do. I don't top them till around 8 nodes

I know hey ! How can't a plant not notice that it's main growing shoot is missing? As you said before about oxins ;) there's a thing called apical dominance so of course it's going to mess around with its growth

you prob already know but the main reason to top is to change the growth structure of the plant as a whole. thats why you grow to around 8 nodes, top the plant (leaving 4 usually) so that they become the dominant colas. chopping the top off that would just be butchering it (and not a great spot to get your clones from anyway as they take a while to root from the top of the plant. but your going to leave it alone anyway aren't you ;)
