Phew! Got all 6 into the smartpots. FYI 2.5 bags of ffof fits PERFECTLY into 25gal smart pots. Watered somewhere around 1.5 gal each of the 4 larger plants, 0.75-1 for the two smaller cheese plants. What do you guys think? Any answer to my above questions? Thanks guys
I like the way you take "big bites". Most people would stick them in five gallon pots and wonder why they didn't get a pound per plant.

I use a transplanting technique that works very well with zero shock/trauma. Page 38 of my grow log.

I'm concerned that those plants were grown under weak florescent bulbs?

I have no trouble with large CFLs to sunlight, but using weak bulbs can cause tender leaves to turn to paper.

If this happens, continue to feed and water normally. Most plants will try to replace damaged leaves with new growth, very quickly.

"Hardening off" really doesn't work very well. I'd place them in a somewhat shady spot for a few days, then put them out in it. The newest growth will be acclimated, and sufficient to support the plant while it replaces lost leaf area.

A 23w CFL placed among your plants will be sufficient to block flowering, but one at each end of the group would be better.

Thank you, Im crossing my fingers! lol

Im gonna go read that, and cross my fingers I didnt fuck up already lol.

Not sure, but I kind of doubt it. The larger 4 I bought from a large grower, seemed to know what they were doing. The smallest 2 I bought from a dispensary.

If that happens, I'll get on it asap. But I have no nutes atm. Can afford them around the end of the month. Heard that ffof is a decent enough soil with nutrients to last up to 30 days.

Had them in direct sunlight from 7a-12p, then put in shade till 430p when it cooled off and I began transplanting.

Well....crap. Lol just spent $10 on a 100w 1500 lumen halogen floodlight. Was thinking of rigging it on an extension cord (and possibly a 2nd?) a few feet from the tops of my plants starting tomorrow maybe?

Phew! So I think I might have had transplant shock. Woke up this morning, checked on the girls. I noticed almost all the fanleaves on all the plants had a little bit more lime green/yellow color. I freaked lol. After work, bought some B1 with a new measuring water can (kinda had a hardtime choosing between B1 and superthrive). Came home, they actually look quite a bit better than this morning. I had heard from a few friends that they might recover, but I figured the B1 treatment couldnt hurt.

Thanks so much VG for your help! So the 100w floodlight should work eh? When do you suppose I should start them on an extra hour or two per night? I should work them up to eventually, yet soon, to 18 hours light, 6 dark right?

If you intend to use the 100w to extend the day length, just set the timer to go off at midnight, and then, when you're ready for them to flower, just turn that light off.

Yellowing is usually a result of a Nitrogen shortage. A light feeding might be in order.

Got some decisions to make here guys, your opinions mean a lot to me. So Im starting my plants off on supplemental light tonight for two hours to boost growth. I just started them. I rigged a setup so my light goes over my plants. I have choices in light. I just purchased a 100w, 1500lumens halogen light. I had that thing in my rig, figured itd get hot so I adjusted it so it sat about 4 feet from the top of my taller plants and so that it spread the angle over the plants evenly. The problem was it wasnt reaching to the further most plants. My smart pots are arranged in a 6pack configuration (See earlier pictures). Then I remembered I have one of those Y-adapters that can take one lightbulp screw and put it into two. I grabbed two 26watt cfls and put them in there, then put that into my rig. The light seems like it covers all the plants, and I can put it closer now too, in absence of the heat, BUT the light is certainly not as bright. Should I go with the single 100w halo, or the twin 26w cfl's?

Alright here are my pictures of my current options. The first is a picture of my rig overall, with the halo in. 2nd is of how the plants are lit with the halo. Its definately pretty intense light, but doesnt spread well. 3rd is the halo bulb. 4th is the picture of how the plants are lit with the twin cfls. As you can see, it also lights up my entire porch and backyard because the lights arent shrouded. Soooo, in the 5th picture you can see that I engineered shrouds for the cfls. The 6th picture is the cfl set up, with engineered shrouds lol. What do you guys think? Go with the halo because of the light intensity? I like that option atm. PLUS, I can afford to guy buy a 2nd halo bulb ($8) tomorrow and use the same y-adapter from the cfls. EHHHH?

All the extra light is intended to do is keep the plants from flowering.

This requires much less light than growing. 12 hours of sun, plus another 2-4 hours from the CFLs should accomplish this.

Don't worry. They will continue to veg under this regime.

So since the light hasnt really started shifting yet to shift plants to regularly scheduled veg time, WHEN should I turn the lights on?

Also, this next week I'll be able to afford a nutrient and/or fertilizer. Any suggestions? Keep in mind, Im on a budget and only have 6 plants anyways: doesnt have to be dirt cheap, but under $100 for the season would be great.

Thanks guys!
