Was your friend ABSOLUTELY sterile when he grew them? Maybe there's a little bit of bacteria that got involved in the early stages of the shrooms. Even if the bacteria looks like it's seperate from the shrooms the myculem (spelling) gets nutrients from the entire substrate. Could be an allergic reaction, but if you're friend is ok and everyone else that took is ok then it was probably a you thing.

I always take the throwing up moreso of a purging of bad things, though not self induced, i usually purge, usually when it happens it helps me naturally get into the grove, shake some fears, and slide right in....then enjoy.....
10-15mins after you should be great, and start see a degree of pointalism almost pixilation.
If any less time than that and its negligable really......anywhere 15 mins after and i have a full trip as its all absorbed, just looks nasty

last week i fed my gf 33.8g of fresh picked B+ from my garden for her first trip. she hates mushrooms of any kind and the trippy ones were no exception. she held it in for almost an hour and a half then vomited out the passenger side of her truck as i was taking her home. the things she described seeing clearly proved that she was in full trip. despite the barf she had an alright time anyway. she did have a few drinks prior to taking the shrooms. i am sure that may have aided the barfing...
