was wondering, would it b possible to put a 150w or 250w hps in a 400w hps fixture? Or are those specifically for 400w? Also what u think is better? 300w cfl surrounding 3 plants, or a single 250w hps... This is for flowering...

Everything that I have researched on this site ultimately/basically says the following:

HPS is best overall option.
CFL is great for slowing building up but ultimately when the smoke clears the investment and effectiveness is the same in the long run. That's Assuming you want more than a few plants.

No Hanatar you can not, the ballast and bulbs must match

they didn't have what i need, im in big need of a vertical light mover. but im told i can make one with a dc motor, and a pwm with a 555 timer. the only problem is i don't know what that is..pwm with a 555 timer can anyone help me
