Dr.,

I am having some pH problems. 1st week I used tap water, 1/4 strength nutes and adjusted the resevoir to pH 5.6 relatively easy and quickly. For the second resevoir fill I used RO water and when I finished adding nutes I checked the pH and it was very low, 4ish. I didn't have any pH up so instead of using something around the house, I dumped the res, and started over again with tap water. Two days later (today) I took a pH reading in the res and it differs from if I take a sample out of the res in a cup. When I take it in the res there is little light, could this make a diff?

I have calibrated the meter and its working fine, I was confused but ended up adjusting the pH by taking a sample, add pH down, another sample, etc. Now I'm reading a pH of around 4.9-5.1. How do these low pH levels affect the plants? Am I locking out nutes?

can you show me a pic of this?
Did you find a pic yet?

Never checked ph, never flushed. I am on day 37 of flowering and 97 of total grow! As long as your plants are healthy---that's all that matters.

I am using rain water, 1 tbsp h2o2, 1 tbsp moleasse and 1 tbsp of Bloom MG.

I was using ph down with regular tap water after it sat out for two days to rid of chemicals. I gathered some rain water last time and have used it for the past 6 waterings about a gallon each time between all the girls (5). I was watering every two or three days. I watered yesterday and today the were dry and droopie again except for the lil one and she only gets watered about everyother day still. I am using a mostiure probe to check mostiure and in 3 different points in the pot and at two levels (so 6 diffetent points total) about 1.5 to 2 inches in the soil and about 7 or 9 inches down in the soil!

Anymore information would be wonderful! Would you like more photos as of currently! I will go take them now and post asap! Under my grow!
Well I hope this makes it easier for you DR!

Please refference the photo number when speaking of issues so I know which one to deal with and how! again--looks like over feeding and ph issuies---pm me...

THANKS AGAIN and AGAIN and AGAIN!
no problems

I keep hearing people flush 2 weeks before harvest, is this a must? I have a friend who has grown for 10+ years and smoked his bud and it was some nice smoke. He doesn't flush before harvest and said I didn't need to to, just use the ferts up until harvest.

How does flushing 2 weeks before harvest improve my yield/taste? flushing will not improve your yield but the taste will improve due to the fact that your are allowing the plants to use up all the nuts in the soil and leafs---without flush you get a green taste and smell of fresh cut lawn.

much appreciation for the thread.:blsmoke:
Aquarium water from a 72g fish tank be a good or bad idea?
plant love it but make sure to check ppm and ph just as you would with any water.

Hello...is the doc in ???
I can be if you want:mrgreen:

You have a journal Doc? soon my friend---hopefully getting a camera for Christmas:eyesmoke:

What nutrient line do you use?
I use AN for my organic grows and a mix of Fox Farm/AN for my general testing and seed production.

i have a problem my seedling are dying im batteling this for a month now and i tryed everything i could think of and some suggestion from others but nothing helped, can u take a look at my thread,i thought it was nute burn from the soil so i transplanted and they recovered just to fall again to the same condition,im really running out of ideas https://www.rollitup.org/advanced-marijuana-cultivation/126892-i-need-help-poste-5-a.html

You need a well balanced nute program---what is the ppm's and ph of the feeds your giving her and how often?

Can you please tell me why I only got 400g from my harvest? What did I do wrong?
Whats your set-up?

400g is pretty damn good dude..almost a pound
Very nice.

No----Either your cup has some residual nutes or chems or your ph meter is just off.

I have calibrated the meter and its working fine, I was confused but ended up adjusting the pH by taking a sample, add pH down, another sample, etc. Now I'm reading a pH of around 4.9-5.1. How do these low pH levels affect the plants? Am I locking out nutes?
Yes-you are locking out some nutes-----stir your res well and take reading then adj Ph to 5.6 to 5.8.

welcome back doc...I think the prob with my babe was shock from the clones I pulled..I pulled 4 clones then fed bushmaster, and started 12/12. Hopefully she'll come around..run-off pH is around 6.3-6.5

Thanks for the help!

Thank you for the warm welcome back brother---The bushmaster is some very strong stuff---Plants need to be very healthy and I have found that they also need to be hardened(get adj to flowering lite) a couple of days before you hit them with BUSHMASTER---you're ph run-off is perfect!!!---you will probably see a little eagle clawing if you didn't flush 6 hours after application of the bushmaster but no worries as long as your dosage was below 3ml/gal----

definitely didnt flush after 6 hours..will do that next time for sure! This plant is bouncing back from the bushmaster dose too...Im finally getting my mixture right because the one next to it was fine...so you start 12/12 before you apply bushmaster?
