Ashes?

I was thinking about using ashes from burnt stems and seeds to feed my plants, does anyone know how it'll affect the soil?

I tried it for awhile but it didnt seem do to anything.

i know actual wood ashes are quite acidic...not sure about yours though

The only type of ashed that should be used are pure hard wood ashes. Never use soft wood ashes like pine, also there are alot of inks in paper so I would only use purely burnt down CLEAN hard wood. Also highly acidic soil amendments should be nutrlized with just a bit dolminte lime. Unless you sure of the origins of the ash I wouldn't bother Much better with bat guano top dressing or bat guano tea
