Yeah dude the store owner even told me that himself, he said he would get me the hood and the no name bulb and ballast for 420 out the door which was a pretty good in my opinion. I mean the 600W I'm selling is a combo hood, bulb, ballast The hood being name brand but not a raptor and Hydro Depot sold that package at 350 out the door shit so for less than 100 dollars more I would go with the Raptor and get that giant footprint.
I wouldn't try to run a 1000w in a 4x4 tent IMO. It tends to get really hot even with a good inline fan as an exhaust. I have seen amazing grows with a 600w but if you wanna try and run a 1000w expect to have issues. Anyways all you'll need is a 6" inline fan for exhaust or to push air threw your hood from an outside source. I use 0 boosters to my feeding regiments. I feel their is no need. If using them you need to use them at different stages in the grow. I use the bontanicare ph kit to check my ph and never really check my ppms anymore ( only because I know where my ppms are at by mixing for quite some time now.) sorry for being short but n my iPad outside and getting cold ha ha. As for hoods, I'd recommend using a great white or something of that sort...wide footprint yet no reflective for excess heat and it cools down way faster because of having less volume en most hoods.
then get the 1000 when you have room for it. a 600 would be more manageable and you would need at least a 6 inch inline fan.

I use a 8'' 675 CFM fan to cool my 1000W it pretty much keeps everything cool you can touch the glass or keep your hand directly under the glass of my grow hood and feel no burn. Just to give you an idea.
You use a 1000w bulb...just one. I recommend if you use a digital ballast go with a digital bulb.
Thats why I want two raptor hoods the 675 CFM should cool 2 down with ease.
I use carbon scrubbers but I am perplexed as you. I usually after every harvest take off the white filter and wash it but that's about it. The new best way, IMO, that s better then carbon scrubbers is uvonair...ultra violet light that neutrilizes smell.
I would upgrade to be safe but likely not needed... I run a 8" High Output intake!!
