Anyone outside the US have these lights? I'm not sure how to order, I tried contacting through the site, but I didn't get a reply.

email the owner Jeff, I just ordered mine from Canada. Give him a few days to get back to you. It took about 10 days of back and forth emailing with Jeff and the lights are now paid for and will be on their way soon.

For $450 you could get the GOGREENLEDS 4 CXB 3070 fixture and be killing it in a 2x2. Or for $600 the Osram oslon Zelion HL 2x2 and only use 88 watts and have great results!!!!
It is bad form to do this. This is a A51 thread and he's asking about a A51 light. There are plenty of threads that are for open discussion of different lights and their pro's and con's.

90watt Vero29 over a 20in x 20in area is hard to beat. Esp. for $180bucks
The only Con I can see with W90? They hard to get. I would love to have couple cause I always have room for High powered Vero29:) I will just wait till the demand is meant then maybe get couple?

I know someone that has already received their 5000k panels and the first shipment of 3000k and 5000k panels were ordered together from the factory.

Hey Captain, I've got 7 xgs 190 and 3 rw150 a couple have only been cut on just to make sure they work. When Area 51 says they can upgrade a light, what does that mean? What are they changing? Is it worth it?

Those lights have the LEDs mounted on a PCB and that PCB is screwed to the heatsink and has a connection to the driver that can be unplugged. It's very simple to swap out another PCB if it's compatible with the drivers.

Hi, folks!

I'm a newbie here - one grow under my belt outdoors (soil/bagseed), about to make the leap to indoor soil grow using quality genetics.

I'm in DC and can legally grow six plants of which three can be 'mature' (i.e. flowering). I'm looking to try a perpetual grow where I have three in staggered flower, and three more in veg. That could involve up to nine weeks veg followed by nine weeks flower.

I have set up a 4x4 grow tent, but when I look at the footprint of three 15-gallon smartpots I've put in there, it seems to come out to about 2x4 for the plants alone. Therefore, that's the actual coverage I think I'll need from the grow light(s).

I'm not growing to sell, and I don't really consume very much, so while it would be nice to have lots to share with friends, my primary interest is in growing very high quality product rather than high yield.

In order to minimize heat, noise, maintenance, and wattage, I'm interested in LED grow lights like the Area51s. Since the start times of the flowering plants would be staggered and they'd thus be at differing heights, it seems to make sense to me to have three smaller fixtures rather than one jumbo unit. So, my questions are...

--> Could someone explain the differences amongst the new Area51 offerings? I appreciate there's some color temperature thing going on but don't get which is the right one for what.
--> If I go with Area51, which/how many of the three new fixtures should I get?
--> Since I don't really care about quantity just quality, and since I'm a bit of a tightwad, can I do as well/better with another brand? (I'm willing to pay a bit more for three smaller fixtures rather than one biggie, BTW, so that I can adjust distance-to-plant separately for each of the plants). (I'm not looking to hijack this thread away from Area51, but think it's reasonable to discuss them within context of the competition)
--> What's the cheapest LED or CFL solution I can use for vegging my three plants for up to nine weeks?

Thanks in advance for any suggestions!

Well, I took the plunge and got 3 of the A51 4000Ks. I figure I can always add another if necessary down the road - I'm not flowering anything indoors at the moment so I'll be able to phase 'em in, using one or two for veg to start.

Good luck! Hopefully they've got some stock built up or have at least worked out the kinks in their supply chain.

I ordered 4x4000k's about eight weeks ago, and was told they'd be "about 2 weeks" ... five weeks ago. As of today I still have no idea if or when they're going to ship and haven't heard a peep from A51 in over a month.

Had I known, I probably would've just gone with Optic or built my own. Oh well. I'm sure they're fantastic lights and I'll be super happy in the end. I'm just frustrated with the delays and lack of communication (and my partner is worried that we got scammed, despite my assurances that this is a reputable company that just has some issues with their supply chain on a new product).

Yeah A51 is impossible to buy. I really wanted white COBs, but I guess I'm getting some mars hydro panels instead, their customer service is so much faster and more efficient. I haven't even bought anything from them and they're still treating me like a regular customer, A51 takes days to answer an email and then it's just "yeah we got lights.".. Any way I could buy some? lol.

Ain't no way I'm going to give money to a company that handles things like this..

In that case just go buy hps or anything else really. Look at 315 lec. Mars is a waste of money. You ever notice how great a used car salesman is to you right before he sells you a piece of crap. Same here.

I already have 2 315w CDM fixtures, the W90s would've been for my micro cab. I'd really hate to give my money to Mars Hydro, but at least they're trying to sell their lights. There aren't a lot of options for a single COB fixture besides DIY. And hearing all these "Paid weeks ago, but no product" situations makes me kind of wary about ordering.
