With my eyes i suppose. Our own health. Not any news channels. Ive had covid, my wife did, and so did our newborn baby when my wife gave birth.. I go on my own information. I havent had anyone i know die from covid. Im not sticking nothing in my arm until its mandatory. Im not gonna risk it... Our bodies told us were good and thats that. I dont need that kind of juice. If youre sick, got covid, dont go out. Play it safe... Cuz other ppl can die from it. Its not something im begging for is to be vaccinated... Not yet anyway.... Im under 35 yrs old. Someone else could probably use it more than me.
I wish you and your new family the best and hope you all stay healthy and safe.

Not knowing someone that has died from it (that you know of right? it is not like they would be calling you to say, hey I died) is not necessarily a safe way to go about it, but likely it will be a while before we have access to it anyways.

Just understand that there are bad actors pushing the lies to put our nation at serious risk and hundreds of thousands of people are dying from this virus. And that it is well worth understanding the power of this attack being conducted on our citizens so you can keep yourself and your family safe.

Ouch, grouchy Sunday, lol. Any supporters for regional vaccination rate based freedom restoration or would we rather localized brawling affirmation? And yeah mRNA vaccines seem safe according to my ill-informed research (who the fuck is facebook? lol), but I'm never first to buy a car with a 'new' engine design, I'd like the choice to wait for the single shot vaccine, or frankly ANY vaccine NOT produced by, or in China, thank you very much...

Im with you on not buying a new car that hasn't been around for at least 10 years.

And am happy we don't have to worry about that here, since it is Saturday morning here and the Pfizer plant is only a few hours from my home.

It must be for my state, public radio said they will issue a card and suggested keeping a photo of it on ones phone. I probably won't be able to get a shot for half a year anyway.

As for thalidomide, I'd like to think medical science has improved in the last 60 years.
We did in fact learn some big lessons from the thalidomide era...tons of kids with thalidomide defects when I was in school...tons of kids with polio, too....

For my own part, I had the classic ‘50s immunizations: typhoid, tetanus, diphtheria, whooping cough, smallpox, polio. I’ve had the flu more than once, but I’ve never been vaccinated fir it or for anything else that’s “new”. A heavy smoker in my 70s, I’ve not had the flu or anything like it in 15-20 years, maybe longer. Built up my immune system the old fashioned way, and it works pretty fine.

When they get the anaphylaxis issues resolved, I will get this vaccine. Novel virus is novel.

Are people really saying they won't take the vaccine because we don't know the long term effects that it can have?

Isn't that exactly what can be said about the virus itself? There are some very troubling signals that this isn't something one just gets over and never has to worry about again.

If one is willing to sit on the sidelines of life and wither away, then they are welcome to it. By the time it's available to me, it will be summer of next year. My family and I will be so ready. The oldest kid graduates this June (assuming he passes all of his classes ). Distant learning absolutely sucks for him. I'm hoping he can begin college in person. So, yeah, we are going deal with the unknown and plenty of knowns, one way or another. Gimme the stick.

5 years ago I bought a car with a new engine design... it's been flawless. Engineering and science have come a long way, inject me please! (:

Why do I have to put my idiot cap on in these threads these days?
Where are they all coming from?
Batcaves. Not like the cool one from Batman, but caves where bats go to take a dump. Hence the phrase batshit crazy.
