Are they growing slowly or just normal?

This is my first grow. Some details of it are its a 4x4 planter bed, notill style, self made quality soil w/amendments. Humidity is 66 high / 60 low and temperature is 79/71. Plants are amnesia haze from RQS, sprouted on July 5 (so are just over a month old from seed). I feel like I see a lot of other pictures of plants that are a month old and they are huge compared to these guys. I have been doing LST and attempted a FIM on all of them (one of them I know I messed it up because he almost completely slowed down and just started getting new growth again yesterday).

Just wondering if I am doing fine and they just grow slower on the first cycle in a no-till style or if I am doing something keeping them a little slow. I think it is gonna take a while before they are ever ready for that scrog.

Thanks for any help guys!20180808_081842.jpg

oh, so having a big pot like the bed kinda will have them start slowly since boundaries are far and inbetween?

The roots have to take hold in the soil, when this happens they will grow much quicker and look more vigorous.
Also im not sure about the clover indoor, you dont need the extra N and indoor you have more chance of disease, pests etc. Try hydro next time for better results.

nah i like the no till style. not too worried about disease. I hear, frequently, that soil no till growing makes for healthier disease resistant plants. I'm really after just quality but wasn't sure why I felt like mine were growing slowly. But I think it is because I basically started the seeds in their final pot rather than growing it with them.

BTW you all were very right, the plants have since blown up quickly. Growing a ton each day.

I have a feeling this is gonna be a really long veg for me. Thought they'd be bigger by the month and half mark.

Anyone have a suggestion on when I should flip to flower? It's amnesia haze so stretch might be alot. The scrog is 34in above the planter bed.

Sounds like they're gearing up to have some incredibly explosive growth! The two smaller ones you can tell were definitely stunted from the pruning, but nevertheless, shouldn't be anything that some extra time in veg can't solve. I wouldn't worry too much about it. And also remember that, if comparing the size and age of your plant to hydro and coco grows, they will almost always be larger being at the same age yours is. Don't think that you're doing something wrong in that case, just can't compare apples to oranges is all :)

Ya I've just come to realize this method might be lil slower but time will tell if the end result is even better. Next time i am going to w8 a few weeks longer before messing with the plants in any way. Learning as I go.

Ah there is no one method that's better than the other, if you enjoy then keep at it, every problem you have and correct now is one less problem you'll have next time around! :) And no worries, we're all still learning as we go too lol.

Patience is a virtue . It also pays off. They look very healthy. Big plants put on big buds and more of it. Hang in and keep doing what you are doing. This patience will pay at the end of flowering too.

How are they looking ? I’m at Day 21 of Flowering. Veg took a while for me I had some bound up roots and and they just stopped growing . New soil made all the difference for me and patience lots of that I was in veg cycle for 9 weeks before changing to flower

They have almost reached the scrog net I put up. They have been vegging now for about 7 weeks now. I'll flip once they actually reach the net. I felt like they were growing slowly but they are going fast now. No change, they just had to find their bearings in such a big planter bed.
