Are they done yet? What does "done" look like?

You can get a 40x jewelers loupe on Amazon for about £5, best thing I ever got. Not only is it really cool looking at all those trichs up close, its such a good indicator of when to chop.

The way I see it, I spend four months growing the fucking plant, I want to make sure it smokes exactly how I like it, a few days can make a big difference to the white/ amber crystals on it.

I used to check trichs for harvest but no more for me. Because I learned that 80 cloud / 20 clear or few amber but the pistills are still standing out. I smoked, it was tripping and high but not tasty or strongest one. I decided to let other cutting till the pistills receded and calyxes swollen and finally have looks RIPEN ( yes it got a lot of amber ) I smoked it...HOLY SHIZZ , it's very potent and very tasty. I don't care if anyone said that amber is bad thing but it's not !

Once you hang of it with harvest, you will never need the loupe again :D

I had a member ask me to discuss my happy plants drill, I have tried in the past and it is one of those things that tends to draw trolls and thread goes sideways pretty fast. I told him I'd think about it. The thing is that you pretty much have to unlearn all the forum rhetoric and black market notions. I spent 3 years in prison over this plant so I don't ever advise anybody to put themselves in danger of being caught. With that in mind if you are in a legal state, complying with your rules you should experiment with learning to grow the plant "normally" with out all the myths and nonsense.

Your first mission would be to eliminate all stress and to be prepared to adjust and tweak everything that is required to maintain the stress free garden. To this end I ask (and please respond) how many of you believe that "praying" leaves is a good thing? I can't tell ya how many pics I've seen of leaves standing up pointin at the lights where the grower was all happy that they were growin so good ,,,,,,, wrong !!!

This is stress, most usually caused by the lights being to close, causing the canopy to be to hot. The plant has increased turgor in order to cool itself, this is wasted energy. Focusing on cooling rather than growing is not a good thing. Here is a pic of what that looks like, yeppers it happens in my garden every morning, these plants grow 1 to 3 inches every day, every day I raise the light ,,,,,,

Now if you look, you'll notice the light is angled, due to the taller plant in the back. If you look at this pic you see the plants in the middle are not reaching as much ,,,,,,

It depends on what you class as "strong". Which canaboid you want/ prefer more of.

You see I'm like you, I like that heavy sit you on your ass and melt you into the sofa kind of effect. I leave mine late until they are pretty orange, it makes it in my eyes "strong" and it gets rave reviews from my peers.

Yet one harvested with milky trichs can also be strong, but with more THC, which is more mind fuck than couch lock. I will often have two varieties if possible, one for day time when I need t function and one for when I want to go into a stoned coma.

Also, I've had plants that appear very ripe and ready, but on closer inspection were still cloudy, despite the hairs (which you can see with your eyes) being orange.

Hey how much boiling water would u put to say a 5gallon pot. Do u let it cool at all or straight from boil to water ? Would an electric kettle make this easier . I might try this thanks for the interesting read . So you find that this improves flavour ? Iv heard people who raise the lights to the roof of the tent as soon as stretch is over to keep a nice cool canopy but im always to worried to try and end up keeping my light a foot or so away

Do u let it cool at all or straight from boil to water ?
No cool, straight to the plant

Would an electric kettle make this easier
possibly?

So you find that this improves flavour ?
It speeds up the cure

There are a few folks that say I could grow dank with a picture of the sun LOL and I'm sure that if I had MH/HPS I could grow monsters but that is not anything I would do as my setup is geared toward pure quality, the difference is actually huge IMO

I can understand that. I have my quantity room that pays the bills so to speak but then I have my "just for me" tent that's all about quality.
