it does look like balls.. give it a couple more days if you doubt it you have better view than we do. do no worry if you have more plants around it those wont pop in the next few days even if they are balls.

you will have almost 2 weeks into a 12/12 flower cycle before you will worry about the pollin sacks pop. after you put them into a flower cycle keep a eye on them day by day. better wait and make sure it is a male before you kill it.

I can't get a better pic now because I got rid of em. Pretty sure both males, they were pretty distinctly balls and definitely reproductive growth from the calyx that has no pistils.
My question is if the growth from calyx will look green and then a week later come up with pistils or if pistils come first.
Like will the plant appear to be a male and then the pistils come out so you know its a female?

imo looks like new growth. you should never kill the plant until you are positive it is a male. even when im sure its a male i will still go into the first week of flower just to make sure it is. sometimes they will look like balls. then when you put them into flower hairs will come out. like i said, be positive. you have atleast a week or more when you go into flower before you have any pollen issues to worry about.

pretty sure they were males. Here is another macro male shot. This time I got the camera to better adjust. For reference, this is what I've been seeing. This is a topped plant and could be new growth. Those balls are on both of the main tops (it was topped young) so they could be new, inward growths, but its hard to say I'll have to observe in a few days / week when they grow out or there is more sacks.

Sadly yeah, one of the sacrificed may have been a female, but I doubt it. I was just a little gung ho about making some more room I wasn't really sure. If that last pic is a female, I may have killed a strong female, if that last pic is a male, I probably made the right call.

that is really quite scary!!! i have 5 female plants and a hermie ( isolated). i kept removing plants that looked like they were developing balls only for the balls to burst out with pistils, i had the normal female preflowers too but some growwths looked distinctly male.

Im now 3 weeks into 12/12 and i think its safe to say i have 5 females and one hermie. i mean, do males or hermies grow huge flowers(buds)?

yup might have trashed a nicely topped female in perfect health, but at least one was a male and there was only 2. I have trashed 3 other males already so that makes 5 trashed - 4 male one female. and there may be 1 or 2 more males unless their balls burst with pistils.
My biggest plant is pumpin out pistils now though, and its gonna be sickk.
