i'm wondering if these would be good addition for side lighting and hard to get areas.

Led Grow light Bulb,Derlights 40W E27 Full Spectrum Led Grow light Bulb, SMD2835 Grow Plant Light.

Watt for watt, way better than CFLs. But there's way better options out there. You could probably pull a good few ounces under 4 of them though.

I just got a 600w hps/mh but would like them just for side lighting as I do LST to my babies

They'd be great for that purpose. What might be even better is running some of the cheap led strips like this https://www.amazon.com/Ustellar-Dim...id=1522287514&sr=8-7&keywords=led+strip+white

oh one thing tho wouldn't I be better off with full spectrum that has more UV?

Those blue and red LEDs arent actually full spectrum like they say. White light is true full spectrum, like the sun. The UV and IR emitted from those lights is neglible at best.

Yeah, 40 watts of those strips will be better than 40 watts of those blurple ones. They actually use the exact same diodes, just one is white and one uses blues and reds.
