We had that vivosun tent up for almost a year before she started sitting on top of it. Which wasn’t really a problem until I saw how she climbed down. Squirted her with water a few times and now she stays away again lolbruh....they are mischievous bastards. I looked after my sisters kitten for a 10 days and it went missing for a few hours the first day and i freaked out. Turns out it found the bottom cable hole in my tent and decided to sleep under the shade of the canopy for a few hours. It was adorable as shit. That was its go to sleeping spot for that few days. ill risk the hair for that anyday.
Nope, sending it back... I'm not a qualified seamstress. I'll pick up a new one at Hydro store today the minute it opens, if that has a hole, i'll order a cheap one from these nice peoples suggestions I wish i had the $390 the Gorilla would cost w/shipping tho, looks so nice lolNeither my Gorilla or Mars Hydro tent has holes, and the seams are solid on both. It sucks you have such a big hole in the seam, hopefully you have a little sewing kit at home to do repairs!
Cool, I'll buy another AC Infinity at the hydro store today, after I drop off the bad one at UPS & see if I have a better experience. Perhaps my Amazon / AC Infinity experience was an isolated situation. My AC Infinity tent arrived missing a few poles. I emailed them and they overnited me the parts immediately.
Didnt even ask for a picture.
Gorilla tents are nice, but the straight up and across zipper configuration is why I like them just because it's easy to replace those when they wear out with strips of velcro. If you want one, keep an eye on 420/black friday sales, sometimes you can get a good deal. But I'm surprised at how far along Mars Hydro tents have come in the past 5 years, my new one has not a single pinhole-even my Gorilla tent came with one pinhole that I could see. Oh, and I just checked out my buddies new Covert tent-that's the hydrobuilder brand. It's really freaking nice too.Nope, sending it back... I'm not a qualified seamstress. If you bought it from ac infinity's amazon store they will probably just send you a new tent minus the poles. No need to ship anything backCool, I'll buy another AC Infinity at the hydro store today, after I drop off the bad one at UPS & see if I have a better experience. that looks like it sat in a warehouse for a long time and started to get dry rot. return it, and order from a different seller.Pic attached. Big enough to put a hand through. Seams falling apart... stitching all over tent frayed. I mean this was just astonishingly bad.
Ok just got a new tent up, you're saying I shouldn't even bother checking for pinholes? Just make sure no giant rips/tears exist?I have $40-$80 tents and they don't have rips or holes. I have two 2x4's, a 2.3x2.3 and 3x3 and none of them have holes or rips. You have got to be the unluckiest guy in the world. Three of them are 1680d fabric as well. One of them has a pinhole or two around the bottom of the zipper where the stitching goes through the fabric. I put three 240W quantum boards facing up in every tent to check in a dark room, and there is next to nothing showing from any of them bar the 3x3 with the pinholes around the bottom of the zipper..
Pinholes don't even matter anyway. There is zero way enough photons could enter through a pinhole in such a diffuse light like a general room in the first place. There is way too much obsession with light leaks to begin with. I've grown photos in a well lit room with all three vents opened and never had any issues and I don't sleep at all two or three days of the week and have room lighting on 24/7, so why would a pinhole be expected to cause issues?
If you are actually getting tents at that price with actual rips, Id simply get a refund and try another brand instead of going through multiple. Im brutal when it comes to my money spent. i don't give second chances, if the product is faulty from day one, I get a refund and invest my money somewhere else.
1 ac infinity, 1 coolgrows and one unbranded tent. 4 cats any holes are from the cats. I do my best to keep them out of the grow room but they’re cats they get into stuff2 ac infinity tents and 1 vivosun tent here. Other than the pinholes from the cat on the vivosun I have no pinholes. It’s never caused an issue tho. The cat however, is a pain in the ass lol
