The best advise is to stay away from politics unless you are going to write from the side of your teacher. Most teachers are liberal and WILL fail you if you write a conservative opinion. Be careful - it isn't worth failing.

Yeah I pussed out. haha. I will use this idea next semester. I am pretty sure I will fail the paper because my teacher is a 1960s revolutionary, civil rights, liberal. I am writing against government run health care. I really don't care if I fail though, I am taking classes just for the hell of it. I keep the teacher on his toes though.

Good idea, I almost did a paper on marijuana reform. That would have been super easy but, oh well.
