are my plants healthy? first time grow with pics

my friend aint got internet so unfortunately i gotta do alot of his positng on here haha...

anyways here's some pics, do they look healthy? the larger of the 2 was stressed thus some of the burn on the larger leaf i think and also some leaves had to be removed. he is using the wick system for both, each one under their own cfl light at 18/6.

but yeah he just wants to hear your opinions as to weather or not they seem to be healthy. 2 leafs on the larger of the two plants seem to be sagging which is strange to me but idk thats just my thoughts. also how come the one is so short and stout and the other isnt? they both get the same stuff.

Well,. your plants.. I mean your friends plants don't look that bad. You should replant your plant.. I mean your friends plants into bigger pots in a week or so. Otherwise not bad for a first timer. You're doing,.. dammit. I mean your friend is doing good so far.

make sure to add 50% perlite to soil when you tansplant, shit looks like cake mix, other than that looking healthy!

whats perlite? and he only has like 1.5ft tall space i think. or 2ft. so wouldnt keeping them in these small cups keep then nice and small? or atleast thats what i thought

The roots will get locked up in the small cups...happy plants produce happy buds perlite is that white rock stuff that kinda turns to powder if you squeeze it and you put it in the soil to help with aeration and drainage(and maybe other stuff idk)

perlite is volcanic glass. It helps drainage in soil. Why would you,.. I mean your friend want to keep the plants small?

yeah he doesnt have much room to work with so i just told him to keep them in the small cups cause im pretty sure i read somewhere if you keep them in small cups they wont grow big

why would you want to keep them so small? at least grow them out a little and train it as you would a bonsai plant. could be fuuuuuun

Id personally go up to atleast a small pot... i have 3 in my grow right now in smallish pot and they are only at around a foot and budding.

They won't grow big because their roots have nowhere to grow. Not only will you get slow growth, you won't get a good harvest from a rootbound plant. The best way to get small plants is to start with short strains, flower early. You can even tie them down(gently) to keep them growing, just not so straight up. Also the closer you can get your light to your plants without burning them, the less they will stretch out towards the light. Check out a strain like lowryder and it's crosses. There are some really great strains that you can use in a micro grow.

Classic, I want a lot of bud but don't want to put forth the time, effort and money to get there. Why waste your time, 3-4 months growing something if it's just going to produce next to nothing.
