Are my cuttings budding ?

Hi everyone !

I've had problems with transfering my cuttings from the dome to the Pot ...
My cuttings take usually 6 to 8 days to roots . The roots are beautiful and white . They look very vigorous .
But the top of the cuttings look yellow and like they're budding . I have them under a CFL in a dome . the dome is not very high so the top of the cuttings are touching the dome. They take forever to start growing once transfered in small pots . I was 24 hours lights on but I just changed that to 18/6 .
I don't see that on other peoples photos of their cuttings . What's wrong ?
I just read that spraying mild flower solution is good for cuttings , is that true ?
Anyone seen this happening to them ?

Thanks !

Boris

I don't see any budding lol.

Anyhow, if they have roots, you can remove the dome. Light schedule is fine either or, just give them a little so they can kick feet first.

I transplant them into fertile medium, don't know what you are using, but you can lightly feed them whatever you want.

Could you please provide a picture? :) Just to get a better idea of what ya mean. I wouldn't apply any bloom fertilizer to them unless you're intending on flowering them right from the start.

They're in the trash now because they did absolutely nothing for over two weeks . I started some others . The big leaves were green and very nice but the top flowers were yellow, very thin and dry looking . The roots looked good and was growing but cuttings above absolutely nothing . It's the first time this happens .

If it does happen again, please post some pics and that will encourage some of our vets to chime in :) My condolences to your clones! All though I didn't get to see them myself, this one has me pretty stumped. Are you taking clones off of an actively flowering plant? I know that these types of clones tend to take longer to resume vegetative growth, but I also heard that this naturally distributes the auxin hormones producing an affect similar to FIM'ing. Not 100% sure that is correct, but the one time I took clones from a blooming plant it came out with multiple heads (and very strange growth for the first few sets).

I took my clones on a mother plant in veg. The cuttings don't make real buds , it just looks like when buds are starting but before they form an actual bud . The top leaves are all close together and it kind of dense . Thank for helping .
If they do that again I will defenitely take pictures . I wonder if the top of the cuttings touching the dome can cause that .
That dome is just 4" high , I don't like it .

That's why some smart ass invented plastic wrap. You can make all sorts of shapes and sizes and lots of them for $1.99.
