Are my babies scorched??

I'm 5 weeks into bloom and all seems to be going well with my second grow. (thanks for anyone whos helped so far!). anyway, my canopy is about 8-9 inches from my 400W HID. some of the canopy fan leaves are starting to go yellow (see attached pics). its only effecting a few leaves but is my light scorching my babies?? ive not much space to lift my lights as the plants are 5 feet tall and my tent is 6.5 feet.

Yes it is. This happens to my plants. Its bad for them, but its no big deal. You should try to bend the plants some so they are a bit lower.

ive managed to move my light a few more inches but i will have to tie down colas before the end, thanks. another quick question, is it pretty normal for lower fan leaves to turn yellow and die slowly during the entire grow/bloom periods??
