They are heaters alright! For years my grow heated my house during the Winter. Now that I've switched to LED I have to pay to heat. Turns out paying for heat saves me some money, not a lot, and I get a more even heat. Which is very subjective. But HID works great, as does LED. When I turn up the dimmer on my LEDs I could likely heat my house but I don't need to turn them up to get optimal growth from my plants.

Just grow cannabis, LED/HID who cares when you're smoking it :eyesmoke:

I hate grow tents except for drying in i prefer rooms for growing in mainly cos i hate not being able to get in and around the plants as towards the end theres always little space but in tents its ridiculous

I mean it tends to retain heat better in lights off as hps produces more heat when on? I was baked when i wrote that lol

Burnt manies a bud haven't it to close to a hps bulb
The inverse square always working in my head if I raised the light up The bud on the outside was getting a 1000 lumens less
You could manipulate plants to always want to be close to the bulb in veg you could turn the pot round leave an empty spot under sweet spot ..Next day or 2 that part would be filled up
Drfo I think the lack of blue made the branches stretch but more blue more branches
